Lindsay (kiwi365) | 3672 comments Hi All,

I thought i would recommend this series because it is with out a doubt my favourite fantasy series at the moment and is fast moving up my list of all time favourites. There are currently 2 books out and the third is due out in February this year (2013).

The first is -

The Warded Man

Amazon link (with group tag)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Painted-M...

This book is also known as The Painted Man.

The Second book is -

The Desert Spear

Amazon link

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Desert-Sp...

And the third is -

The Daylight War

Amazon link

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Daylight-Demo...

Hopefully all those links work.

It really is a phenomenally well written series. Hopefully you guys enjoy it as much as i do.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Yes I have greatly enjoyed these books Lindsay, well the first two anyway. There's so much crappy fantasy out there it's always a relief to find something that's well written within a well-constructed and believable "world". Too mean to buy the third one at that price though! I've waited this long, can hang on a wee bit longer...

Lindsay (kiwi365) | 3672 comments I agree Rosemary, fantasy is filled with hokey authors just trying to cash in, but this one is phenomenal.

I think the price will come down before it is released. At least I hope so

Mark Faulkner (markrfaulkner) | 464 comments I can't wait for the price to come down... In fact I've pre-ordered my kindle copy. Going to see the author at Waterstones in Brum soon aswell, which should be interesting.
If it isn't obvious, I love these books, quite easily the best thing I've read in a long time. I did hear a rumour a film is being made, but I'm not sure what's happening with that.

Mark Faulkner (markrfaulkner) | 464 comments You won't be disappointed. They're big books but even I flew through them and I'm the worlds slowest reader.
