I'm currently reading (and somewhat struggling through) The Dovekeepers - Alice Hoffman. My Bookgroup read it last year and LOVED IT. I didn't get around to it and so started in December... and it's slow going and feels like alot of work.
It's detailed and an interesting time period but I just feel that the story doesn't always flow and that the characters don't draw me in.I keep putting it down and reading other books... I feel no connection with the story. Has anyone else read this book or author?

I am a fan of Alice Hoffman, and I have wanted to read that book. I just haven't had the time to do so. I will have to try it to see what I get out of it. Thanks for the input!! :)

reading a lot of books so i can accomplish new goal hard to read one by one especially when i dont own books just look at my currently reading shelf.

Ok!! We are nearing the end of the year. And close to my fave time of year..Autumn! What is everyone reading or planning to read?
