If you've not read The Secret History, and are curious about it, there is a copy of it, at all times - well, very often, anyway - in any/every charity shop in London. The reason for this is that it has been such a massive seller. I've bought TSH several times for friends who haven't read it. It's usually the mass-market paperback version with the black cover and silver medallion. But one day I hit gold, and got an earlier edition, signed by Donna Tartt. It's not that rare, as she has done mass signings of both of her books. I also have a signed copy of The Little Friend, but bought that at the London launch, where she read the prologue to me (and hundreds of others).

Yes, it was great to see her and hear her reading. She still wasn't THAT well known at the release of The Little Friend. I think the hype attracted by The Goldfinch was such that she did readings in much bigger venues that sold out much more quickly, and I guess I wasn't so interested in seeing her again - I'm sorry now, of course!
