Combining Editions of a book

Hello,
I'm a n00b librarian and I've read the manual but I'm still unsure of how to combine these two novels. Could some kind person please explain it to me again? The box checking menu threw me off a bit because I didn't see both editions so I could combine them together. Thank you much!

The first link has the author's name spelled incorrectly. The Middle name should be Rifka, not Rifke. Edit the author name, and then you should be able to combine.

The problem here is that there is an error in the author's name of the first one. The middle name must be Rifka instead of Rifke. Normally a librarian could correct the name and merge the profiles, but here that is not possible because the second (correct) one is a Goodreads author. Only staff members can merge such profiles. Koenraad, if it is only one or two books it is much easier to edit the author name on the book edit page. It is then all fixed and able to be combined immediately.
