Suzanne | 44 comments I have a copy of this book isbn 9780575097179 but there are only 547 numbered pages

Nyssa | 172 comments According to both Amazon & Barnes and Noble the 576pgs currently listed is correct for that edition.

Are there 29 UNnumbered pages? The publisher site says 576.

Stef (jawbreakgirl) Please, can you change the number of pages for this book ?
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20...
It's 413 pages.
Thanks.

message 5: by Stef (new)

Stef (jawbreakgirl) Maybe the new edition of J'ai Lu. But in my books ilt's 413 :(

Stef (jawbreakgirl) Yes !

vicki_girl | 2764 comments I changed the pages numbers for the original post. Publisher page numbers are often only estimates. Also, Amazon and Barnes & Noble are not acceptable data sources. Even if they were, they are likely using the page number provided by the publisher.

For the other book, what are you including in the pages you are counting? Not all printed pages get counted for goodreads' purposes. We do not count advertising for other books or excerpts from upcoming books, for example.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments I thought Rivka said we were to use publisher page numbers where available?

message 9: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 31514 comments The physical book always takes precedence over the publisher sites. Publisher sites are nearly always wrong for hc or pb as they work in set numbers.

This was specifically for ebooks, I believe.

Alaina Sloo | 18 comments Does the physical book also take precedence over WorldCat? I've got this book:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/85...

sitting here in my lap. The GR record for it says 255 pages. WorldCat says 255 pages. But the book in my lap, which matches the ISBN in the GR record and states it's a first printing, has 253 numbered pages (plus two blank pages at the end). Should I go ahead and change GR record to 253 pages -- or let it stay as is at 255 to be consistent with WorldCat?

Sandra | 31514 comments Change it to 253 pages Asloo :)

Correct. For physical books, an actual copy trumps most anything else. For ebooks, 5 "physical" copies can easily have 5 different page counts.

Alaina Sloo | 18 comments Thanks! Done.

Sandra | 31514 comments #18 done ;)

Despite what WorldCat said. All other editions comparable.

message 16: by Evie (new)

Evie (ocarina) | 139 comments Hello, could you please fix the page numbers for this one?

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/91...

It says 0, but there should be 60. Also, J.S. Roberts is the editor, not author.

message 17: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 2442 comments Got 20

Note sure why a thread linked to a specific book is getting other page requests added to it, but it's confusing. Locking thread.
