Many of my friends ask me what to read after they read Twilight, since nothing would interset them. Does anyone have ideas? I know that books from Sarah Dessen are really good books to try out. (girls may only like them though...)

At first I thought it was like the best book, but then after reading some other books my mind started to change. There are so many books out there, that no two books are alike (no counting the books in a series). There is something different in each book, that makes you like or hate it.

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) yeah, xactly. if ppl r looking 4 books that r xactly like twilight, they should just stick 2 the fan fics then. u should let urself look 4 different positive things about a book

V (youcallmelavender) there are no books exactly like twilight but there are books following the same kind of story line - boy meets mysterious guy , guy has a secret.

you should try reading hush hush :)

Manon (monanasmiles) Like many I had a hard time moving beyond Twilight.
My recommendation is "The Mortal Instruments" trilogy
(City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass) by Cassandra Claire.
The style of writing is smooth and easy like Twilight.
It was easy to fall in love with the characters (same as how I loves each and every member of the Cullen family). The best way to described these books is a cross between Twilight and Harry Potter.

The Vampire Diaries series by Lisa Jane Smith is really good. It is very different from the series on tv. They are a really good read.

Manon (monanasmiles) Beware of the Vampire Diaries. I was so disappointed.
I was hoping for it to be more like the TV show. Elena is more like Caroline in the book (everything I despise in a teen girl).
The book is very easy to read but no where near as interesting as twilight. Twilight had substance.
Unless you are younger than 16 read at your own risk.

I read the Vampire Diaries before the show came out and I loved it. I guess if I would have watched the show first I might have been disappointed but I thought the books were great.

Amalie I've thought about reading the Vampire diaries, but if the show/movie is better than the related book(s) instead of the book(s) being better than the show, it's never a very good sign :/
