Well Rock and Trisha's story has been told in and out of the other books. I don't know what else I could write about them...

I listen for cool names. When I hear a cool name I immediately write it down. I have a long list of cool unique names to use in the future.

Yes... me and another very popular NA author have discussed a book... we haven't got around to it but we have an idea and one day we will write it!

Magan Vernon (maganvernon) Wat are your plans going forward with publishing? Will you still self and traditional or more one than the other?

message 56: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahlr802) | 5 comments have you thought about a spin off from the Vincent boys giving maybe Ethan his own story.

message 57: by Abbi (new)

Abbi Glines (authorabbiglines) | 92 comments Magan wrote: "Wat are your plans going forward with publishing? Will you still self and traditional or more one than the other?"

That all depends on publishers. IF they want to publish my book enough to give me an advance that makes it worth my while then yes I will. But I like self publishing. I have no problem with it. I like the control so I intend to do both. Just not sure how much of the other I will do.

Yes I've thought about this several times! But right now... I don't have plans.

message 59: by Nat O (new)

Nat O | 3 comments After reading your Vincent books would you ever consider doing a story outside the YA genre about Beau's mom Honey? I found her to be a hoot with such a back story that would be interesting to read about.

You know... I never thought of that. I considered doing a backstory on the first Vincent Boys and Honey. BUT I never thought of this... so, I don't know.

message 64: by Amanda (mandy) (new)

Amanda (mandy) | 26 comments I have to say my first book of yours I read was Because of Low and I that was it. I was in love! In love with Marcus Hardy and you. I love how real your characters come across. They have faults and make mistakes.

How do you decide which character gets the next story?

message 65: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jennifer1416) You seem to write these books pretty quickly. Do you already have their stories in your head or do you have to think about it some? Like I know you are doing a sequel for Cage and Eva....did you already know what happened to them at the end of While It Lasts or did you have to think about it?

message 67: by Nevaeh (new)

Nevaeh Lee (goodreadscomnevaehlee) | 13 comments You write the story in 7-10 days?!? Geez, I'm jealous. Any tips for aspiring writers? (ie. Do you just write straight through or edit as you go?) Also, you stated that you outline your stories first. I'm guessing these are pretty detailed outlines. Approximately how many pages?

Also, if you ever are in need of a Beta-reader, I would love to volunteer. Your writing is amazing and it would be an honor....:o)

I suggest sending to several at one time. Some of them don't get back to you for up to six months. That can take a lot of your time.

The character that is screaming the loudest in my head. I have to WANT to write a story to write it. So if a character is standing out and wants attention in my head then they get the next story.

Abbi Glines (authorabbiglines) | 92 comments Jennifer wrote: "You seem to write these books pretty quickly. Do you already have their stories in your head or do you have to think about it some? Like I know you are doing a sequel for Cage and Eva....did you ..."

I outline the story before I begin. So, yes I know what is going to happen. When I finished While It Lasts I hadn't planned on a book two so I wasn't sure what their future was. Now that I have decided to write them more story I had to think about it and write ideas and possibilities down until I knew the way it should go.

I write straight through. Stopping and editing as you go slows you down and I believe causes writer's block. Keep writing until the story is out. There is plenty time to go back and edit. My outlines are about ten pages for each book. They are detailed. Very detailed. But I don't always stick to the outline. The character may do things and scenes may happen I didn't plan on. I go with what the characters are telling me.
And thank you! Good luck with your writing!!!

Abbi Glines (authorabbiglines) | 92 comments Sarah wrote: "has anyone thought that these books should be made into a Tv series especially the Sea Breeze series. I'm seeing CW"

Sure. I think so ;) and my agent thinks so... and my publisher even asked me about it this week. BUT as of right now no producers have optioned any of them. It is up to a producer wanting to make it into a movie or tv show for it to happen. I am of course very willing if one is interested!

I'm just curious, have you ever considered a crossover between SeaBreeze and Too Far series?
it would be so great to see the SeaBreeze boys and Rush, Woods or Grant on the same page..hotness overload!! :)

message 83: by Laura (new)

Laura | 500 comments A crossover would be so fun to read! Combine the Vincent Boys aswell and you have almost too much hotness for anyone to handle :)

Abbi Glines (authorabbiglines) | 92 comments Lauren wrote: "A book in 7-10 ways! Wow...seriously impressed...how much time after that for editing/revising?"

I spend about two days doing my edits and revision then I send it to critique partners who are other authors I trust and that I've worked with since the beginning. They give me their thoughts I then do revisions again after reading their comments then I send it to beta readers and I fix the edits they find then I send it to an editor. This sounds like a lot but typically all this goes down in about another 7 days. The editor takes two weeks though.

No but just because the story lines are different. The Too Far books have a darker more intense feel than the Sea Breeze.

I've thought about doing a fun little short piece crossing over the Sea Breeze and The Vincent Boys.... but only played with the idea.

message 98: by Paige (new)

Paige (WonderNerd) Hi Abbi! My question is more along the lines of availability. I seem to have a hard time finding your books for sale on kobobooks.com. Is it because they don't have the rights to sell your books or do you think it's because I'm in Canada where we get a lot of "you are in the wrong region..."? I was able to buy Existence (which I LOVED) but not the following books (please please tell me I will be able to at some point!) and Breathe (Because of Low is now available too).

My question is for us OLD ( lol) readers are you planning on bringing us some Adult Contemp. Romance, some crazy story of Good Crazy Love and Roof Raising Sex and Unbelievable Anxiety?? or do you like 20-30ish ..LOL.. sorry just giggling here with my wording after i read the line before...

Most of my books are with publishers so they handle all of that. Fallen Too Far was made available on Kobo today I believe. And the rest of the Sea Breeze series should be soon if not already.
