Points System

Hey, I'm introducing a new system to get more member participartion! I've seen this is in a few groups and it has seemed to work for them soo here goes.

On the 3rd, 13th and 23rd of a month I will post a list of members and 'X' number of contributions they have made in the group*. This system will be used every second month.

Points
~ Each comment will count as 1 point.
~ And each time you vote on a poll, you get 2 points.
~ As well as each time you make a suggestion in the BOTM folder = 2 points.
~ If you complete a book challenge you get 10 points.
~ Also if you create a discussion, debate, game etc. you get 3 points. If it becomes popular you get 5 more points!
~ Add a widget to your blog or website that shows off your membership in this group. This will give you 7 points!
To get points is easy! Games are an easy way and so is commenting on the debates and members folder.

At the end of the month who ever contributes the most wins. The prize is.... reading a book of the winner's choosing for the BOTM - General book.

Rules~
~ no pointless posts... yea it's obvious.
~ have fun and participate ... also obvious!

*You will have to be a top ten contributer to be added to the leaderboard.

Don't worry at the start of a month the system starts again at zero points for everyone.

So, I decided to add the Group Widget onto my Tumblr blog. After several frustrating tries (since I've never once attempted to put a widget on the side of my blog, and html is a completely foreign language to me) that took what seemed like forever, I got it. :)
