Mount TBR 2013 Reading Challenge discussion
Level 1: Pike's Peak (12 Books)

Misfit's list
You finished this, about the manicured lips? ;)
Like watching a freight train. I didn't realize it until we witnessed the closest of calls to a potentially nasty car accident on a frosty road, with a most amazing save (how he/she changed lanes like that without sending him/herself and/or the drivers in that tightly packed lane into a spin we'll never know. We thought he/she was sure to smash right into the wrecked car directly in front of him. Oy veh.I'm hoping my forays into the library sales and books stores late last year have me stocked up enough that I'll be able to face this challenge, and at a higher level than Pike's Peak.
Manicured lips? Do I want to know? I.don't.think.I.do.
1.25 towards my goal, Love's Wildest Fires abandoned at page 50. Bev said in Rio's thread she's loosening up the rules on DNFs a bit, but I'll give myself a fraction of a point just the same :p
Whatever system makes you happy! :)
I am glad Bev relaxed the rules. With so many books to get through, some of them are bound to disappoint. Always better to check it off the list and move on.
2.25 books towards the goal in this round. Polished of the lackluster The Rebel and the Rose this morning.
3.25. Finished Delilah's Flame. I purchased the kindle edition as a freebie last year, and accidentally purchased the original MMPB same year. I'd count it as two off the pile, but I doubt Bev would let that fly :D

'Fraid not. Nice try, though. :-)

Bev's watching you, Misfit! LOL

I hate when that happens. What's worse is when you make lists of books owned and books to be found and take them along to prevent such things....and it STILL happens. Not that I've ever done that. Certainly not.

Yes...but I couldn't resist giving you a hard time anyway.

At least one of them was free. Did they get that bad man who was threatening poor Delilah, the one with the dusty socks?

And I couldn't resist yanking the chain :p
@ Jeannette, yes our intrepid heroine was saved. It actually was a lot more fun than I expected. With all the freebies I download, it might have lanquished except that I picked up the older version and...well the rest is history.
I'm glad. It didn't start out so good for her....
You just read an entire book? Time to celebrate!! :)
I hope you enjoyed the cake. :)
I posted right after you, so I figured you missed it.
At 3 minutes apart, it's practically cross-posting. This group is so big, it is hard to keep up with!

I'm afraid Bev doesn't manage very well....I miss A LOT of the conversations on here. I try to swing by as much as I can....but then I get distracted by a book Or worse yet a bookstore (like today) and buy more books to add to the mountain range.

Neither can I.
Current count 5.50 books. Just finished
Covington's Folly.
Tracey wrote: "Misfit wrote: "6.50. Promise Me Spring abandoned around page 300."Spring never came, huh?"
Lol. That took me a minute :p
7.50 Oakhurst abandoned around page 125. PS, I ended up finished Promise Me Spring, to my great regret. It never got better :/
Ha! I love your partial credit system :-)
You have got to read another 1/2 book! ;)
