Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Good thing we didn't ask for sausage.

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Hehe! I gave you a milking stool and everything. I was going to give you gloves and a tap but I thought that might be going too far.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Naw gloves don't work.

Gotta milk barehanded or the cows get unhappy.

*Blanches*

Ohhhhhh....

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yep.

She has a death wish.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I've still not finished Ender's Game.

I'm still really enjoying it but I'm only finding time to read in bed before falling asleep so I'm only raiding a few pages at a time.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Raiding? kind of appropriate considering the book...

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I finally finished Enders Game!

I sorta lost interest by the end. I just knew what the 'big reveal' was gonna be and I was right. Doubt if I'll carry on with the rest of the series.

I've now started the Alvin Maker series. Well, I read the first couple pages last night before my eyes slammed shut, anyway.

I read the first book in the series Seventh Son years ago and remember loving it. I've got the whole series on my kindle so I reckon I should start with the first for this reading.

I also want to sort out a reading list of short stories and novellas of 'our' authors for while GL and I are in Dubai.

I want that week to be all about Indies.

I better start a thread for that so our authors can remind me of what they've written...

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I didn't guess the ending of Enders Game, took me completely by surprised. I loved it

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I recently found out that Orson Scott Card is a member of one of the most homophobic groups in America. He donates a HUGE amount of his money to deny others the human rights heterosexuals take for granted.

I've decided to completely boycott his books because of it.

/deepmoment

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I guess there are some authors we don't want to get to know.

I know there's at least one out there I wish I'd never 'met'.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Finished Will's The Showing today.

Really enjoyed it.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Showing-e...

I've actually got a few questions for Will about it.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oops.

Elle needs to whittle a pointier stick.

message 77: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments :O! I missed the chance to use my stick?!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I can't remember what I've read. I deleted them from my kindle.

I'm a dope.

message 79: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Do you not keep track of what you are reading on Goodreads?

message 80: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments LOL They were obviously *fantastic* books xD!!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Didn't think of it while I was on holiday Jud.

They were okay, or I'd not have finished them.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'm reading about a paragraph a night before falling asleep, then having to reread it the next night cuz I can't remember what I've read.

I'm hoping to read over the weekend while we're away but I expect I'll be too busy being social with my colleagues.
