Uses for Time Turner

I know right. I kind of wish she had explained the time turner more, like gave an outline of appropriate uses of it. Maybe things like assasinations or things that could greatly alter events would have been against the law. But if you're really ticked off about that watch Harry Potter: How it SHould've ended by Hishe on Youtube :)
Well the Time Turner cld not be used to kill Voldemort and save lily and James since if u can recall then the Time Turner took 3 turns to go back at 7 the last day so that wld mean that going back 1 year wld require 26280 turns approximately. Now if someone were to go and kill Voldemort then u can multiply this by whatever number of years u hav to go back and since this is too long, the person who goes back cannot return. Also, an easier way to explain this is that Voldemort hadn't returned in book 3 and all the time turners were destroyed in the ministry of magic in book 5 when Harry and others went to rescue Sirius. Therefore, the time turners couldn't hav been used and this is why we have such a wonderful series with us.
In book five Dumbledore clearly said it all of them were destroyed when harry suggested to use them and dumbledore said I would fail because if they used the time turner sirius would not be dead to begin with
If you used it to save Lily or James or kill voldemort then a), as stated by Ishani, you could not make that many turns. b) they would have never died/murdered in the first place, therefor in the alternate timeline you would not need to go back in time, thus you wouldn't and would never have done it in the first place, creating an impossible loop. Finally, c) If you did and succeeded you would have to wait for years to reenter your timestream because time turners do not go forwards.

Yeah that's smart. Let's just use it for homework. WOW.
