Combining titles in different languages...

I know that we're to combine different language editions of books -- but this morning I realized that the combine tool makes this difficult when the author is "Anonymous." I was able to work around it by renaming the non-english title by appending a unique word that was in the English title, then I renamed it back to the correct title after combining. So, the title change was very temporary. I googled a ton to try and find anything covering this situation, but couldn't find an answer. Did I handle this right?

Yes, that is the correct way to do it. Whether anonymous or another author.
