Anny It's an epic book. But I felt it's more 'terror' than 'horror'. I couldn't stand horror at all, and pet semataray scared me pretty bad. Some of his books (Under the Dome, Heart in Atlantis, Lisey Stories) I would consider fall under 'terror' category and I'd be find reading it.

Yes indeed. Over the past twenty-seven years (I first read "The Stand" in 1985) I've found myself thinking about the possibility of a 3rd Party - or even a 4th. After all why put all your eggs in just two baskets?

Though I like many of the folks who go to Boulder I find myself thinking about some of the drawbacks to living in such a society after Flagg had been removed.
