She eyed it. Was he serious?

He heated the knife in a candle flame to sterilize it. "You may want something to bite down on."
She closed her eyes trying to calm herself down.
He used the sharp knife to open the wound more so he could find the bullet.
She dug her nails into her palm. She wanted to scream cusses so loud that Russia would hear them
He worked the blade into the wound searching for the hard bullet.
She tried to keep still. She dug deeper into her flesh.
"Just about got it" he says concentrating on the wound.
She nods. She couldn't help but whimper and the furious pain that was coming from the wound.
The knife point struck something hard and he began to work the bullet out.
"Almost got it" he says as he works the bullet out of her the last few millimeters.
The bullet finally comes free in a final gush of blood.
She breathed heavily. She feels the bullet escape her. She looks up and reaches to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding stopped she could start her 24 hour healing process.
He got a cloth for her from his first aid bag and wrapped it around the wound.
She thanked him softly. Then she put her head back down.
He washed his hands in the hot water."You better get some rest and we will talk about this in the morning" he said holding up the bullet.
She nods and closes her eyes. She falls asleep instantly.
He covers her with a blanket and goes to the couch to sleep.
(( I'm skipping))She woke up slowly the next morning
((okay cool))He was stoking the fire as she woke his back to her.
The fire caught and he stood turning to look at her.
He seen she was awake "well welcome back to the living" he said smiling and bringing her a cup of coffee.
She took it slowly. She sat up and looked at it.
"Drink up" he said handing it to her.
He sit down by her bed and sips his own coffee."Think you could eat?"
"Well it is probably not your usual fare" he replied
"Bacon and eggs all protein but..."
" how but bacon and ditch the eggs." She said
"Can do I think< care if I cook it" he asked smiling.
She rolled her eyes " only cook it for like 60 seconds"
"Okay deal" he said a stood to prepare the meal.
She takes a sip of the coffee. It was good.
He cooks the bacon for only 60 seconds as she requested and also cooks him some eggs he cooks his bacon longer also. When it is done he takes a plate piled with bacon to her.
She nods a thank you. She takes a piece and bit into it.
He sat close by eating his breakfast and watching her.
