Well, of COURSE, I know that guy! :) I'm knitting his scarf, and Genesis of the Daleks, The Deadly Assassin, and City of Death are some of my favorite DW episodes. I'm a huge Two fan as well.

This madness is celebrating a madman with a box. Also, there's this awesome show by Joss Whedon called Firefly, and thinking about how it only got one season makes me cry.

No way in hell am I gonna stop posting Eleven and Clara gifs. IT'S SO ADDICTING!

you have to watch it.. think that is best to start from the ninth doctor if you want to try it out. But if you want to go all the way you should start with the first.
but those episodes can be hard to come by

Those Angels didn't get me an extra-credit A in comp class, though. The Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane did.

See, when that class started, the professor decided to break us up into small groups and hand out a sort of logic-puzzle quiz. The fifth puzzle was the one w/ two doors, and two guys (one lies, one tells the truth), and one question.

I remembered it from watching the episode where they were on Mars w/ the pyramids (the rest of that episode is pretty hazy, but I plan on rewatching it on Netflix soon, since it's on there now). I had to beat my brains a bit to hear the Doctor giving the answer, and when I got it, we were the only group to answer that puzzle correctly.

The freaky angels gave me nightmares. Tom Baker gave me good grades. Which would you pick?

KC Jacobsen I thought this post was going to have more meaning behind it. Something about the psychology of the book, for instance Edward glorifying an abusive relationship by making his jealousy and need to control look like an ideal situation. Anyone else agree? It's still a good story, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't like it, but looking into it more it's sort of wrong.

The thing is is that subject has already been analyzed and talked about to death. I am sick of talking about and explaining why I dislike Twilight. Unlike a lot of people who hate Twilight and love ripping it to shreds, I genuinely don't enjoy discussing it (unless it's with my brother, and we're cackling about how enjoyably bad the Twilight films are) - it's exhausting to hate something. On the other hand, I like talking about Doctor Who, which is a better alternative to Twilight, and one with a lot more depth, so I'm going to keep talking about that. :) If everyone wants to have a meaningful discussion about Twilight, though, go right ahead! Ignore me, and I think we all shall be happy.

Trust me, Charlotte, no flames from us Whovians! :) We are a kind, enthusiastic lot who like sharing the love of Doctor Who, but we don't want to force anyone into it. If you ever do want to check out the show, try The Eleventh Hour or Blink. The show sounds weird and incomprehensible when you first hear about it, but as soon as you watch it everything makes perfect sense.

In fact, Charlotte, here's a link to the first part of The Eleventh Hour. Not suggesting you check it out, just throwing that out there. *sly wink* http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhso...

It's a bit sad now the Eleventh doctor is in full swing (not that I don't like him - in fact I do like him a lot - he's great) so first episodes are usually the start of him. David Tennant was AMAZING (Although he hinted he was coming back for the anniversary - imagine that!)

That would be amazing. I like the current doctor but I also kind of what something to happen to him which makes him revert back to the David Tennant version.

He was great in the Fright Night reboot. His face and Tom Baker's are probably the ones I associate with the Doctor the most... I barely remember Pertwee, lost track of the series after Baker left, and sort of remember Eccleston (who made an outstanding villain in Gone In 60 Seconds and 28 Days Later).

As far as the anniversary special, that's a tradition of sorts for the show (check out "The Five Doctors" if you can find it), so I would expect Eccleston to make some kind of appearance as well.

No, I don't want the Doctor to revert back to Ten! D: That would break my heart and frustrate me. I want the show to change and get in a new Doctor after Eleven has had his run. I personally adore Eleven and Ten almost equally, with a bunch of other Doctors coming in second. The whole point of the show is about regeneration and change - you can't just go back to the way it used to be. That's like deciding to change the show to go back to the way it was with the Fourth Doctor, because let me tell you, he was the Tenth Doctor of his day. For a ton of people, Four will always be THE Doctor, and I know some fans who stopped watching the show after he left (just like a lot of Ten fans did).

Ergh, sorry for the rant, that's just a point I feel very passionate about. I really adore the show of Doctor Who, and I want it to keep with what it's doing.

Well, I'd also be equally as happy if they got a new doctor that had the same geeky sex appeal as Tennant. Though, sex appeal not quite the right phrase but there was something about Tennant that made the doctor hot and sexy! That Eccleston or the new one haven't quite managed. I know plenty of girls who develop a crush on Ten too.

Guys get the sexy sidekick, I want a sexy doctor that can also do geek well.

I want good stories too, but that's up to the writer rather than the actors. It's a given that the doctors will be good actors since BBC has standard when it comes to doctor who, so I don't even have to worry or ask for that. I want a sexy but in a nice healthy good guy kind of way doctor too!!!! Had a doctor like that, want that again!!! :)

Siobhan I would love it if the anniversary was the doctor going back to a point he'd been to in a past regeneration (pardon the oxymoron) which would mean any number of them. In the same room. Together. I've wanted that since 9 met Rose.

Going by past anniversary specials, I'd guess that you might see as many Doctors as BBC can get to agree to appear in the same room together. The one I saw ("The Five Doctors"), for example, had One, Two, Three and Five all fighting The Master (Baker was reluctant to reprise his role, so they cut in footage of him from past episodes). That's something to get excited about, yes?

It is! I think they're going to do a multi-Doctor special personally. Moffat writes like a fanboy (and I love that!), so he knows what the fans expect - multi-Doctors. David Tennant would definitely be on board, and I am fairly sure that he will present. I hope Christopher Eccleston decided to come, and I hope Paul McGann will join them, too. I'm also hoping that Sylvester McCoy, Peter Davision, Colin Baker and Tom Baker will be involved somehow as well. I wish there could be a way for the first three could be honored as well.
