SHUT UP AND MAKE ME A SANDWICH, B*TCH!!

Strongly agree. Also, have you watched their hilarious DragonCon 2010? I miss Kaylee and Inara. And WASH!!!

You do realize trying to block/suspend me is just an impetus for creating more accounts, right? I'm generally a mild troll until the mods get involved, because then it's war. I have multiple IPs/devices, plus practically have a major in circumventing rules, so it's not like they can keep me away either.

Good, because I don't want this newly minted Doctor Who thread being shut down! We Whovians took your wonderful weirdo thread, Catherine, and turned it into something truly wonderful!
Doctor Who News Update: Well known children's author, Eoin Colfer, will be doing a short story in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who this year, featuring the First Doctor. So if any of you are Eoin Colfer fans, shouldn't you be a fan of what he is a fan of? Watch Doctor Who already! ;)

What's sexist about the content? IS DOCTOR WHO!

No I haven't seen that panel, but I guess I will have to soon. :) Oh, I miss Kayley and Inara so bad! And don't get me started on Wash. *cries in a corner*

I can guarantee that Whovians are anything but that. :) By the way, have you given any more thought to watching Doctor Who? /shameless nagging

I don't usually respond to threads that have swear words in the title, but I figured that since this thread is here it might as well be something worthwhile. And I'm gonna milk it for all it's worth. :)

Who is everyone fave character?

The Doctor is my favorite character, of course! He is the same character throughout all the years of the show being on, so I have gotten to the point that I hate picking my favorite incarnation of him (although I have a soft spot for Ten, Eleven, Nine, Four, Eight and Two). :) As far as non-Doctor characters go, though... I dunno. I like them all pretty equally. I have an obsession with Clara right now, so maybe her. But I love Rory, Amy, Rose, Martha, Donna, Sarah Jane, Jamie (OH JAMIE, I LOVE JAMIE!), Jo, the Brigadier... It's so hard!

I only started watching from Chris Eccleston (sp?), so I don't have that many to choose from.
If it was still David Tennant, the Doctor would be my favourite. I like the new one but to me his sidekicks have stolen his thunder. I think I'd really like Clara too, wasn't a fan of this recent Xmas special but she was awesome in the first episode she was in, when she was a dalek.
I would love to see the doctor who's daughter make a reappearance!! And the Master, as long as it's John Simm, he did a great job.

2055?

2055?
Because Doctor Who will be around for that long. I think the person who made that gif just made it a random date. :)

I agree with everything you said. Can we be friends?

You gave Killing Joke 5 stars and Twilight one star. Of course we can be friends.

I'm enjoying this as well.
I only wish I got the references....too bad this thread couldn't have been hijacked by people who watched the same shows as me.

What shows do you watch? I'll see if I can get you in on the reference game. :)
Levi, The Killing Joke was awesome! That book was what got me into comics.

Eureka, Psych, SpongeBob, Once Upon a Time, and about a gazillion comedy/fantasy/horror animes. I guess that makes me a bit pathetic.

Same Thing I said.. where is the question????

Once upon a time!!! Am I the only one that squealed in happiness when Belle and Rumpelstiltskin (aka the beast) found each other again???
And found Snow boring???

Yes, it is pretty old, and it is the longest running television show ever, starting in the year 1963. You don't need to worry about that, though - watching the classic series comes later. First start with the recent reboot of the series. If you love Sherlock (OH GOD DO I LOVE SHERLOCK; in fact I was a fan of Sherlock, and that led me to Doctor Who) I recommend the episode "The Eleventh Hour" which was the first episode of the fifth series.
The reason I recommend that episode is that it provides a good starting point for people who have never heard of the series, and it gives you a good idea of the timey-wimey weird aliens stuff that is a trademark of the show. "The Eleventh Hour" is also the first episode to feature the Eleventh Doctor and a new companion, and it was the first episode written by Steven Moffat (the guy who co-created Sherlock) after he became the showrunnner.
Other recommended episodes include:
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances (Series 1)
The Girl in the Fireplace (Series 2)
Blink (Series 3)
Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead (Series 4)
The Doctor's Wife (Series 6)
Asylum of the Daleks (Series 7)
Please message me if you're confused about something, or if you want to know where to go next! Do not miss the Ninth and Tenth Doctors - they are amazing. Also, you might want to watch this video, which clarifies a lot of the confusing aspects of the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOnX_a...
Ergh! So sorry for rambling on for a long time. I hope that was helpful.

Not pathetic - just different tastes, that's all. :) Nothing wrong with that! I'm ashamed to say that I don't watch your television shows1 I'm mostly a sci-fi and British television kinda person... Star Trek, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Firefly, Jeeves and Wooster, Agatha Christie's Poirot, Batman: The Animated Series, Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes TV series... oh, God, Jeremy Brett I love you!

He laughs at my love. Sherlock Holmes, how could you be so cruel?! Oh, that's right, because you're Sherlock Holmes.

I wasn't a fan of Rumplestiltskin's gross sliminess or the apparent age gap, but I did end up finding him and Belle to be a cute couple. Love how everything's interconnected, although I wish the beast were an actual beast, and that it gave up the whole evil mastermind thing.
Snow was a lame character, especially as Mary. I would prefer Emma or Red (the fairy tale version, not the slutty waitress) any day.

I guess I'm watching Dr. Who then. Maybe it'll make me feel better about the fact that the third series of Sherlock comes out in autumn and that it might be the last. I actually get this weird gaping-pit-in-my-stomach feeling when I think about that (dramatic, I know, but SERIOUSLY). Okay, this is a pretty awesome thread.
