right?!?! I LOVE the flamingo! :D

it was kind of nice to not want to constantly cry over every page (like I feel like doing when i read a book where a child has cancer!)

(I loved that Across the Universe Novella and I saw you did too :D It was a bit sad, but so good, right? Can't wait for book 3)

yes, right! Like when I read FiOS. It focused on very horrible topic, but the humor was there to lighten up the mood.

I gave it 4 stars :) how far are you???
i started to really love this one around chapters 10 to 12

Oh I see. Maybe the bug or whatever. I am in chapter 10 now.

oh no, you didn't like the ending???
Oh (view spoiler)

I didn't cry by the way. But it was very emotional, especially when Cam called her friend and knew that she had already passed away.

and that it did seem peaceful, almost okay for her to go when she went... it broke my heart though. I did tear up and cry - because I have a 14 year old and just couldn't imagine the heartache of losing her or my 8 year old (and if I would have the grace to do it and keep myself together at all...like so many parents do)

It did seem like good timing for her mother to get married. She got to experience such happiness before her daughter was taken away. Not to mention, she now has him around to help out with the aftermath. She will need a rock to lean on after Cam passed.

I think we're all done with this one ;)
I just finished this book today!! I started it yesterday, and I absolutely loved it! I agree with what you girls said about the humor lightening up the whole story. It was nice not to be crying every page of this book. And I loved the ending. I thought it was nice that she died at peace with Asher by her side. Overall I really enjoyed this book!! It was really great! :) And sorry I couldn't read this book when you guys did, I was just so busy. But I am glad that I did finally get around to reading it, because I really enjoyed this book!! :)

Thanks for understanding... :)
And I am glad that everyone in this discussion loved it too!! I thought it was a great read! :)

OMG yes! :) This book was so hilarious. I was totally laughing out loud at that scene!! :)
I thought Asher was soo sweet. I knew that he liked Cam from the minute they first met!!
And also, when Cam found out that Lily died, I was so sad because they had both been fighting and mad at each other and they had never gotten the chance to apologize and be friends again, which I thought was really sad.

I was sad also when I read the part that Lily died and Cam and her had not had a chance to talk first. So sad.
And I thought it was so cute when she adopted Homer, and then Asher and Cam had thrown him back into the ocean with the freedom bracelet!! :)
This book was just so good. There were things that were sad about it, and also really funny, and happy, and I just loved this book so much. :)

Exactly. :) The humor in this book really took away the whole sadness of the cancer theme to this book.
