Hi M.J.,It looks like you left it open for a 4th book when Jake gets a mysterious calling in class. I hope you will write the 4th book someday...the story and plot are solid and I know your writing will only get better...I thought the third book was a marked improvement over the first one. just my opinion...don't be discouraged by any negative comments but do what you enjoy and love
I enjoyed the book, especially the battle strategies. Here is my review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...I will read the second book, but I will need to take a break for a little bit.

I read the blurb at the top of this topic ("J.R.R. Tolkien & C. S. Lewis have finally met their match!") and got a little too excited to read this based on that. So I was expecting Tolkienesque, but as M.J. has said, he had a different goal in mind.
I hope you continue to write. Finishing three books and all in a series is no easy task. Requires a lot of time, dedication and imagination. I'm sure you've gotten better as a writer from the experience as well.
Good luck!
