Looking for Alaska
question
Who is your favourite character out of all of John's books?

Alaska is my favourite character because she is perceived as the perfect girl: she is sexy, witty and outgoing. She left me feeling more intrigued about her personality because behind the facade; she was just a normal girl with her own issues. We were left at the end of the book not really knowing who she was. I idolise her confidence and I am trying to be more like her everyday.
The quote, "You just use the future to escape the present", was one of my favourite lines Alaska said in the book. Looking for Alaska is my favourite book of all time!

Augustus because he's simple, all he wants is to be a hero and love Hazel. And bask in metaphorical resonances.
Ben because he is so damn funny. Enough said.
And Isaac because he gave me "But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.”
Also
“Come over here so I can examine your face with my hands and see deeper into your soul than a sighted person ever could.” :D

Gus by a landslide :) Though if I had to pick a second it would definetely be Alaska.
hard to choose.
Green creates his characters so well that you relate to everyone.

Augustus Waters and the Colonel :) I have to admit that I am also madly in love with Issac, too.
Augustus, Hazel, Margo , Takumi and Radar:) but most of all Augustus
Everyone's saying Augustus and Alaska but I think Augustus was a bit pretentious and Alaska was just moody and dull. Hassan has to be my favorite character for definite.
Tiny Cooper from Will Grayson! I think it's because I really relate to him - our personalities are quite similar and we have similar interests but can also be more emotional than we appear on the surface. Acting is a way of hiding things and John Green wrote him really well, for me.
Alaska. She was really a kind of think-for-myself kind of girl who could go her own way without worrying or thinking too hard about it. Maybe she was even a little selfish, but she was in a way that kind of made her seem more independent than rude.
I have only read two of his books, but my favorite characters so far are Augustus and The Colonel
I think my favorite in all the books has to be either Alaska, Augustus, Margo or Hassan. I can't really decide?? :P
Margo - Paper Towns. Throughout the book i had a huge love/hate relationship with Margo. I hated her so much, but in many ways wanted to be like her.
Augustus Waters - The Fault In Our Stars. He was just so beautifully spoken. The metaphorical resonances, and his confession of love towards Hazel. And the letter at the end. Damn, he was perfect in my opinion.
Hassan - An Abundance of Kathrine's + Ben - Paper Towns. Both so funny.

I REALLY LIKE TINY HAHAHAH and radar. BUT GUS THO.
The two Will Grayson's> Alaska Young> Augustus Waters> Stuart Weintraub of Let it Snow
Will Grayson and I also love the other Will Grayson though he's not John's character.

i dont really have one but if all of his characters were mixed into one person ugggg i dont even know <33333
Its a tie between Alaska and Augustus and Hazel.
Every character in Johns novels have a meaning, a true identity, a purpose, and they are all by far unique, interesting, and brilliant.
...is it just me or does all of John Greens novels make you cry, or depressed, or just emotional?

Margin. She was kne if his most interesting characters. It was really realistic the way she kept running away leaving behind unsolved problems. I think a lot if people do that
So far I have only read Looking For Alaska, but Alaska is my favourite character of any book I've ever read...
I'm not sure what it is about her, but I really like her

Alaska! She made me think about her for about 3 weeks. She is so mysterious and I like that. :)
Alaska for sure, she has/had this spunk that just made her shine. I was so pissed when she died..
So far mine would be Augustus. Just the fact of how brilliant he was, just intrigued me. I loved everything about his personality.
Margo, definitely. Like Q, I was very much enticed by Margo. She was so mysterious I wanted to start my own journey to find her. However, I would look for Margo so that when I found her, I would be able to pick her brain. I empathize a lot with Margo. I feel as if everything around me is paper, everyone is superficial, and I am getting nothing from where I am. I admire Margo's ability to go out and live her life and do what she wants. Margo is definitely John Green's most complex character and that's what I think is so brilliant about her: there's so much to keep learning about her. I think about Margo's character to this day even though I finished the book about a year ago.
Augustus Waters! This one was a no brainer for me :) I love that kid.
The Colonel from Looking for Alaska and Jane from Will Grayson, Will Grayson.
Tiny Cooper, no doubt! from Will Grayson, Will Grayson. He is followed closely by Chip, aka the Colonel, from Alaska, and a tie for third place for Hassan and Colin Singleton from Katherines.
Tiny Cooper, not that I relate or anything. I just think he's a really cool guy.
Augustus was a total sweetheart so he's pretty high up on my list of favorite JG characters.

I have only read 'Looking for Alaska' and 'The Fault in Our Stars' so far, but I really liked the Colonel in 'Looking for Alaska' and I liked Hazel and Augustus in 'The 'Fault in Our stars.'
I've only read looking for Alaska and abundance of Katherine's but I think it will be Hazel from tfios. So far it's Alaska though.
