Is this series good?
I bought the first one a few months ago , I haven't started it yet.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yes, very good, ShoSho. Slightly different. DeVere is a bad boy, if you like them.

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 458 comments I finished Under a Vampire Moon (Argeneau, #16) by Lynsay Sands as everyone mentioned it was a really fun read and a return to form for that series.

In the middle of Pale Demon (The Hollows, #9) by Kim Harrison I have kind of a love/hate thing going with this series but so far I'm really enjoying this one.

message 407: by June (new)

June (ladyjune) | 315 comments I'm starting Love Irresistibly (FBI / US Attorney, #4) by Julie James today, but so far I'm not really into it. Unlike in the previous books, both main characters on this one sound bland to me :(

message 408: by Abby (new)

Abby | 63 comments I just finished Dark Celebration (Dark, #17) by Christine Feehan and while a lot of people I've heard from didn't really like this one I really enjoyed it. I liked that we got to see where the couples are now and what's going on in their lives since being converted and how they had a big get together for a holiday like normal people do ... Completely different from the typical PNR's I've read where they don't even acknowledge the holidays at all....Gonna go onto Dark Possession (Dark, #18) by Christine Feehan next

Lauren (laurenjberman) Finished Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs - overall, I enjoyed but there were a couple of things that annoyed me.

I love Merit!!!!!!!

*clears throat*

Just had to get that out of my system. Hard Bitten is the next on my list from that series as well, Lauren. I have to make some time for it soon.

And, don't give up on Mercy Thompson... IMO, #3 is where this series really comes into its own.

message 415: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I'm reading Sweet Surrender (Sweet, #1) by Maya Banks I had it on my phone without realising it, and started reading it while waiting in line at the bank :-)

I've never managed to finish a Maya Banks book, I'm hoping this will be my first.

Despite one or two shortcomings, I'm really enjoying Mercy and her wolves. Looking forward to Iron Kissed - many have said it's their favorite.

Love Merit too! and Ethan as well even though he's an arrogant ass sometimes...(OK, more often than not).

message 417: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne | 36 comments @ Lauren - I really started to love the Mercy Thompson series with the 4th book... Don't give up!
@ CarolB - I actually started with Sweet Persuasion...and it's still my favourite of three sweet books (I've read the 2nd, 3rd and 4th books in the series...) I have read so don't give up yet!

message 420: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I'm listening to Across the Universe which is interesting so far but not sure where its going. I'm reading His Bonnie Bride so far so good.

message 421: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) To add to what Jenny said, most times they feature the "bad boy" (tats, piercing, cocky but can be sweet, issues)

message 422: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Ok, so they're pretty much normal contemporary romances, but about college age kids who are trying to figure out who they are and possibly rebels, got it. Thanks ladies!

I'm not a huge fan of Young Adult romances, but might try out New Adult ones to to see.

It was so good and reading it with the selected music on made it one of the best books I have read!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I've been good lately, Karen. No migraines for me... which is very unusual. But, hey, I'm not going to complain!

And you?

Lauren (laurenjberman) Karen wrote: "Yes! That is good! My mom has just started off having migraines though!

My mother suffered terribly from migraines and so does my brother. The medications are so strong they knock them out for 24-36 hours. It is usually food that triggers them - cheese, avocados, chocolate.

Hope you feel better soon, Jenny and Karen.

message 444: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yes, food is a definite trigger, Lauren. But, it varies from person to person. Luckily, it isn't avocados for me! Love them. Most cheeses do, though not mozzarella. Feta cheese, however, is like a bullet to my head. Figs, too.

Also, sometimes it is barometric changes. Unfortunately, I can't control the weather.

Lauren (laurenjberman) Lisa Kay wrote: "YAlso, sometimes it is barometric changes. Unfortunately, I can't control the weather. "

My father's appendectomy scar reacts to the barometric pressure - he always knows when its going rain (or maybe he can control the weather, lol!)
