Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Oh Jenny, I'm so sorry about your kitty. One of ours went to the vet Friday. She's on life number 5. And after her visit Friday, she's now on a kitty laxative and prescription food.

You're in for a treat, Chris! Are you listening to them on audio? They have the BEST narrator.

Chris (cdavies1951) | 312 comments No, I so rarely do that, but next time I drive anywhere I'll know who to look for. Thanks for the tip! I guess I could just listen to a book at home - it's not against the rules, is it?

Does it count?

Does that mean I'll be able to read and chew gum at the same time (i.e. I won't need to move my lips when I read)? :-)

Luna was hit by a car last spring and they didn't think she'd make it. We had made the decision to put her to sleep and when we called to tell them the doctor said she had made a big improvement. The accident broke her hips. They told us she'd probably have problems the rest of her life. When she came home, she walked next to the wall to walk straight. She's been near death a few more times since then and last week she was growling all the time cause she was constipated....due to the accident. They warned us she would have litter box problems. I don't know what we'll do when the day comes that we have to put her to sleep. Luna is my middle daughter's cat. And my middle daughter didn't like any animals for such a long time.

Once again, I'm sorry about your Emmy :(

message 342: by KarenF (new)

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 458 comments So I'm always lurking in this thread and getting good ideas on interesting things to read (or sometimes things to stay away from). I've decided that I feel like I should become a contributing member of society.

To that end I just finished The Seduction of Elliot McBride (Highland Pleasures, #5) by Jennifer Ashley which I liked but didn't love like other in the series.

Just started Wild Invitation (Psy-Changeling 0.5, 3.5, 9.5, 10.5) by Nalini Singh which I'm loving so far.

Up next is probably The Help by Kathryn Stockett since I've had it forever and I finally listed it in a challenge so I'd actually read it. And I'm still hoping to fit in The Viper (Highland Guard, #4) by Monica McCarty for another Highlander read.

Luckily found The Moon Witch 2nd hand so the trilogy will eventually be read. Also planning to buy Wild Invitation and Twice Temped next week.

Just started The Viper (Highland Guard, #4) by Monica McCarty Loving it so far but there's so much history in it I keep going online to look up the real story.

I was thinking of buying wild invitation at the same time with Heart of obsidian. Maybe I should get it sooner if it has some clues in it!
