I would for sure, it is basically an extension.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments First wanted to say I'm jealous of those who have already finished The Undead Pool (The Hollows, #12) by Kim Harrison but I'm pleased to say that I've made some good progress in it myself this weekend. I gave up on The Accidental Vampire (Argeneau, #7) by Lynsay Sands because it really wasn't catching my interest and Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs became available at my library for my kindle so I'm reading that now instead.

Katharine Sadler | 47 comments I'm finally reading The Undead Pool, and am about halfway through it. Loving it!

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments I finished The Undead Pool (The Hollows, #12) by Kim Harrison and really liked it although i might have to do a re-read once work calms down because I felt a little lost in some spots due to me being tired when I was reading it. Now I'm going to dedicate more time to reading Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs

message 1755: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments Erica, don't forget to read the short in On the Prowl (Alpha & Omega, #0.5) by Patricia Briggs first, its basically the first 70 pages of Cry Wolf. It also comes as an ebook or kindle.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Good call Sandra that short difference made such a huge difference. I wish she would just release it with the book.

message 1757: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments It was crazy that she didn't from the beginning. I'm pretty sure that the A&O in the anthology started out being just a shortie then turned into a novel.

You're right. I went to a signing for Briggs and in it she basically said that. She also mentioned that if she planned to write a full book she would have made the last sentence different so the book would have been easier to start.

But now that I saw this it will help. I went on to Amazon and saw that there is an ebook special of just that short story for $2.99 so i bought it. So I'm putting a pause on Cry Wolf and going to read the short and see if that helps. Thanks again for the tip.

message 1774: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I just finished Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley and The King (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #12) by J.R. Ward both of which I really liked. Started Mark of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #1) by Diana Rowland on audio. I'm only about four chapters in but enjoying it so far.

message 1775: by Mike (new)

Mike | 353 comments LastBreath wrote: "Question: When does PNR, or UF, become erotica?"

Guess that depends on the reader. I know some people that think Fifty Shades is scandalous and some that think it is tame fluff.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments Finished Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs and enjoyed it. I'm in the middle of Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire, #1) by J.R. Rain but I just got an email saying that Innocence by Dean Koontz and Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth that I've had on hold are both available for my kindle from the library. So I'm going to try to read those two before I have to return them and go back on the hold list. So yeah i have some serious reading to get done.

Right!! I mean why can't everyone just stay in their lane? I am cool with Paranormal erotica but please tell me before I buy the book.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments Almost done with Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire, #1) by J.R. Rain and gave Innocence by Dean Koontz a try but gave it up because I couldn't understand what was going on and therefore I couldn't get into it. Next on my list is Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth

Me too, I actually ended up dnf'ing the last book. Sad because the series started off so good.

While I was reading it I glanced ahead at the future books (mostly cuz I was trying to figure out if the fbi agent or the demon lord was going to turn out to be the good guy) and I saw the ratings really go down on the last few. I'm just going to buy them one at a time and see how they go.

I actually just got an ARC of the author's How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back (White Trash Zombie, #4) by Diana Rowland My fingers are crossed that she did in fact get her groove back cuz this series has declined each book for me. I've been listening to book three on audio for MONTHS & haven't cared enough to finish.

Sandra | 4734 comments I've got Fury of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #6) by Diana Rowland to read but I keep putting it off, just cause I didn't like what happened in the last book. I need to put on the big girl panties and just read it.

I hate to say it, but see if you can go the library route. That way you are only out time, not money.

I think you should read it, it will be interesting to see on what side you fall.

Well darn. What book do they start going down? Should I just stop while I'm ahead?

message 1795: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Here are two other older series I've been thinking about trying. Any thoughts on either of these?

Working for the Devil (Dante Valentine, #1) by Lilith Saintcrow
Stormwalker (Stormwalker, #1) by Allyson James

No, its a very interesting dark world, you'll like it. Go the library way if you can, if you have doubts. And don't check out the books later, it'll put you off unnecessarily.

For me, it was with book 5, but give them a try, you might not feel the same way about them.

I like the Stormwalker series. Lilith St. Crow is hit or miss for me, this series was a miss.
