Great series Mike it's "Edgy" sorry that's the only way to describe it (lol) but if you don't feel like getting into a series he has a good "stand alone " called Butcher Bird
I just finished rereading all of Kim Harrison's Hollows series, including devouring The Undead Pool yesterday. I know need a new series to fill the Rachel Morgan sized hole in my heart.
Have you read the Jane Jameson series by Molly Harper White it's a great series to help with the Rachel Morgan blues
Is anyone else waiting for Laurel K Hamiltons new Merry Gentry book to come out it's been years since the last book nothing like hanging in the edge! (Lol)
Tracy T. wrote: "Marsha wrote: "I am currently reading Dead Iron. Not sure if it is for me but I will keep at it since it has so many good reviews. I recently finishedPhoenix Rising ..."Thanks for the suggestion. that one sounds very interesting, I will give it a try :)
Jill wrote: "Is anyone else waiting for Laurel K Hamiltons new Merry Gentry book to come out it's been years since the last book nothing like hanging in the edge! (Lol)"When she said she was going to end the series around book 7 I think I stopped reading it.
Is she still writing chapters about one sexual encounter?
I finished
and this was a loan that I was almost like screw it but it is a lendable loan and you only can lend it once so anyway I was prepared for lame plots and to much sex but this was really good and funny. I was really pleased. I think I am going to buy the next one.
Sandra wrote: "I loved the Trek Mi Qan Universe Dawn. Something just so appealing about it."It was such a nice surprise!! I cannot wait to read the next one.
I also thought the whole egg hatching thing was funny and Zor is like why did you not tell me you felt flutters lol
Yeah, that was a scream, but so much better than waiting 9 mths. LOL. And those big boobies!!!! ROFL
Yeah she actually is on her 9th book in the series but I know what you mean about the sex leading into chapters lol
Sandra wrote: "Nearly finished
it finally came out in pb. Loving it and trying not to read it too quickly :)"I started the Mercy Thompson series some weeks back but I got a little miffed at the love triangle. Granted I'm still only on
and there's still a ways to go. But seeing as you're enjoying #7 gives me more than enough incentive to pick it back up.

Armageddon and the 4th Timeline by Don MardakBook Review by Susan McMichael
4.5 out of 5 stars
A thrilling ride from the first page…
Armageddon and the 4th Timeline by Don Mardak is a thrilling ride from the first page. This science fiction novel combines time travel, spiritual themes, a fascinating mix of characters and modern intrigue to create an unputtable down novel.
We meet the CIA Director, Scott Cunningham, a former Navy SEAL, and his Assistant Lori Colbert, addressing a meeting after a terrible terrorists attacks. We also meet husband and wife Kathy and Eric who are in Lhasa, Tibet, on a spiritual quest. Through Eric's time travel, both worlds intersect. Mardak's premise throughout the novel is that there "is a spiritual universe, and mankind has the ability to rise into a higher level of consciousness where all conflicts can be resolved peacefully without resorting to wars, or threatening a nuclear holocaust.”

I read
which was a big miss for me.
which was really cute, if you are interested in this one buy the bundle it is only 99 cents
Michelle Pillow is usually good value :)ETA: And I picked up Alpha's Toy yesterday, so we'll see whether I like it or not, too :DDDD
So I finished
2 stars, he was an alphahole. The premise was good but the H was extremely unlikeable and the h was wishywashy.

Sara wrote: "Finished
- another great installment in the series"YAY another book I forgot came out this month. Going to order it straight away. How does it work out with a change in narrator?

That was my same thought with this one.
I finished
which was a pretty good book considering it was free. Now I'm reading
on my kindle. And reading
in hardback. I don't want to put The undead pool in my purse because I don't want it to get messed up with all the rain we're having here so I can only read it when I'm home. :( So I'm reading it much slower than I'd like.
Dawn wrote: "How does it work out with a change in narrator?"It worked fine for me. Alex is different from Verity - more cerebral - but he is still a Price. I did miss the crew from the first two books but we get to meet new characters in this book that I love just as much. We also get to meet more of the extended family. Alex also has his own colony of Aeslin mice. Hail the God of Silence and Scales!

I'm glad the mice are still around. They are my favorite thing about the series.
Darcy wrote: "I'm glad the mice are still around. They are my favorite thing about the series."Me too!!

That is great news
I highly recommend checking out Seanan McGuire's website. She's awesome about putting free short stories on there about her October Daye and Incryptid series. There are two October Daye shorts and seven Incryptid shorts. Five of the Incryptid shorts feature Jonathan & Francis Healy, one stars Istas, and the other has Antimony (Verity & Alex's younger sister).
Just finished
and
. Then somehow managed to survive
. Hoping
and
will save me from the annoying numbing sensation that Dark Knight in Disguise has invoked.
