When she said she was going to end the series around book 7 I think I stopped reading it.

Is she still writing chapters about one sexual encounter?

I started the Mercy Thompson series some weeks back but I got a little miffed at the love triangle. Granted I'm still only on Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs and there's still a ways to go. But seeing as you're enjoying #7 gives me more than enough incentive to pick it back up.

I kind of felt the same way when i first started reading the series I've read up to River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs so far and it is awesome. Keep reading trust me!
I'm still reading Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton and about half way through and I'm really liking it. But I wish my copy of The Undead Pool (The Hollows, #12) by Kim Harrison would hurry up and get here Tuesday seems so far away!

Raymond Mathiesen (raymondmathiesen) | 16 comments Armageddon and the 4th Timeline by Don Mardak
Book Review by Susan McMichael
4.5 out of 5 stars

A thrilling ride from the first page…

Armageddon and the 4th Timeline by Don Mardak is a thrilling ride from the first page. This science fiction novel combines time travel, spiritual themes, a fascinating mix of characters and modern intrigue to create an unputtable down novel.

We meet the CIA Director, Scott Cunningham, a former Navy SEAL, and his Assistant Lori Colbert, addressing a meeting after a terrible terrorists attacks. We also meet husband and wife Kathy and Eric who are in Lhasa, Tibet, on a spiritual quest. Through Eric's time travel, both worlds intersect. Mardak's premise throughout the novel is that there "is a spiritual universe, and mankind has the ability to rise into a higher level of consciousness where all conflicts can be resolved peacefully without resorting to wars, or threatening a nuclear holocaust.”

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I read The Alpha's Toy (The Alpha Shifter Collection, #1) by Sam Crescent which was a big miss for me.

Cupid's Enchantment (Naughty Cupid #1) by Michelle M. Pillow which was really cute, if you are interested in this one buy the bundle it is only 99 cents

Sandra | 4734 comments Michelle Pillow is usually good value :)

ETA: And I picked up Alpha's Toy yesterday, so we'll see whether I like it or not, too :DDDD

message 1735: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments So I finished The Alpha's Toy (The Alpha Shifter Collection, #1) by Sam Crescent 2 stars, he was an alphahole. The premise was good but the H was extremely unlikeable and the h was wishywashy.

I totally agree! It is a shame because the premise was really good.

That was my same thought with this one.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments I finished Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton which was a pretty good book considering it was free. Now I'm reading The Accidental Vampire (Argeneau, #7) by Lynsay Sands on my kindle. And reading The Undead Pool (The Hollows, #12) by Kim Harrison in hardback. I don't want to put The undead pool in my purse because I don't want it to get messed up with all the rain we're having here so I can only read it when I'm home. :( So I'm reading it much slower than I'd like.

Sara | 860 comments Dawn wrote: "How does it work out with a change in narrator?"

It worked fine for me. Alex is different from Verity - more cerebral - but he is still a Price. I did miss the crew from the first two books but we get to meet new characters in this book that I love just as much. We also get to meet more of the extended family. Alex also has his own colony of Aeslin mice. Hail the God of Silence and Scales!

I'm glad the mice are still around. They are my favorite thing about the series.

message 1747: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments I highly recommend checking out Seanan McGuire's website. She's awesome about putting free short stories on there about her October Daye and Incryptid series. There are two October Daye shorts and seven Incryptid shorts. Five of the Incryptid shorts feature Jonathan & Francis Healy, one stars Istas, and the other has Antimony (Verity & Alex's younger sister).

Mike | 353 comments Finished Peacemaker by K.A. Stewart and Long Live the Queen (The Immortal Empire, #3) by Kate Locke both were great. Started Web of Lies (Elemental Assassin, #2) by Jennifer Estep and One Salt Sea (October Daye, #5) by Seanan McGuire .

message 1749: by LastBreath (new)

LastBreath (last_breath) | 242 comments Just finished Fierce Heat by Celia Kyle and Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong . Then somehow managed to survive Dark Knight in Disguise, the Prequel (Earthbound Angels, #.5) by Sandra Ross . Hoping A Potion to Die For (Magic Potion Mystery #1) by Heather Blake and Iced (Dani O'Malley, #1; Fever, #6) by Karen Marie Moning will save me from the annoying numbing sensation that Dark Knight in Disguise has invoked.

message 1750: by LastBreath (new)

LastBreath (last_breath) | 242 comments Question: do I have to read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series before I start the Dani O'Malley one?
