Mead usually has good YA characters, I really dislike her adult characters though. lol
well that doesn't sound terrible so i'll deff have to check it out, thanks!

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished Quarantine (Alone, #3) by James Phelan not too bad, but wasn't great.
The Opposite of Amber by Gillian Philip I thought this book was pretty fantastic.
Dead Reckoning by Mercedes Lackey LOVE LOVE LOVED this book!!
also finished my buddy read with Joan on Endless Knight (The Arcana Chronicles, #2) by Kresley Cole which was awesome.
also read The Repossession (Repossession, #1) by Sam Hawksmoor which was pretty interesting, though I felt the emotion between to two main characters at the start was odd and stiff but that changed pretty quickly
now reading the second book The Hunting (Repossession, #2) by Sam Hawksmoor

I was the same way about A Modern Witch! But my problem was I really am not a fan of PR. I prefer my witches to be of the UF variety. So that was more my bad then Geary's, I think.

message 1262: by Mike (new)

Mike | 353 comments Finished Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee I started out liking it ok but the present tense story telling really wore on me. If it had been told in past tense the way all stories are really told in I would have really enjoyed it. As it stands I won't be reading the sequel. I also finished Dreams and Shadows by C. Robert Cargill . I have read a lot of good books lately and quite a few really good books. This book was simply amazing IMO. Right now it is the best book I've read this year and that includes discovering October Daye (which I love) and Nicholas Flammel (which comes in second).

Alisa Has anyone read Black and Blue (Otherworld Assassin, #2) by Gena Showalter yet? I didn't care for the first one but was thinking maybe it was first book syndrome. Isn't the cover beautiful?

No. It's the follow up to Last Kiss Goodnight (Otherworld Assassin, #1) by Gena Showalter It's adult but her new, conservative adult.

My shopping trip was great. I found a lot of good stuff. I also got the entire Mercy Gentry series for $1 a piece and some other misc stuff. I was kind of bummed cuz I found the first 6 World of the Lupi for a buck each & I paid A WHOLE LOT more for mine :(

I never see World of the Lupi that is a find!!
I think the Cassie Palmer series has lost some momentum personally it is an odd book on the one hand I like it but I think I dislike Cassie seems like she cannot quite catch a clue. Anyway if you want to do a series read let me know. It has been so long I hand forgotten most of what happens,

I loved this book. I thought she did a fabulous job and Raphael brought his A game. He was more bad assed and even hotter than he's ever been before, not to mention some incredibly tender, sweet declarations of love to Elena.

It is a spin off of the Riley Jensen series. I would start there because the world is the same and in that series the main character of DA is a baby.
