Jeb's curiosity has started to grow more and more.
Mel wants Wanderer to open up to jeb, to tell him that she's still there. But Wanderer doesn't think that will really change anything.
Jeb is very interested when Wanda tells him that she's a teacher and wants her to teach the three kids (incl Jamie) history. But she doesn't want to do it, because she doesn't think that anyone wants to listen to her.
1. Did Jeb know about the invasion before it happened?
2. Do you think that Wanda will go teach the three kids history after all?

Jamie comes to Wanda's room in the middle of the night because he can't sleep (Jeb snores). I personally think that he just wants to be with her. He later tells her that the room is actually his and Jared's and Wanda become a 'angry' with Jeb. The next day Wanda works in the fields. She's terrified of Ian who was using a 'sharp, blackened metal' that looked deadly in his hands.
3. Do you think that Ian will kill Wanda if he had the chance?

-Wanda takes her first shower in the cave.
-Jeb starts to test the people, to see if they will accept Wanda, which they finally do. Wanda works really hard, because she wants to show that she isn't taking anything for granted.

Wanda tries to work twice as hard as the others, she wanted to make her presence 'as light a burden as possible.' Wanderer learns the other people's names, mostly by listening to conversations. Most of Wanda's neighbours have gone to stay somewhere else in protest of her presence there. But slowly most of them emerge back to their caves.
6. Do you think Jamie loves Wanda or does he just imagine that it's Melanie?

Without ever actually agreeing to do it, Wanda became the teacher Jeb wanted. She would answer questions every night after dinner. Often, she would let Jamie tell the story when he knew it so well.
In this chapter Jared comes back!!! When he arrives Jamie tells him all about 'Wanda.' Jared is furious that the people have started to accept Wanda as one of their own. And Kyle is convinced that wanda is lying to everyone. Ian on the other hand has become very nice to Wanda. Jared wants Wanda to be shot down immediatly but Jeb 'changes' his 'law' and says: "you can see that jamie's not in agreement. I figure he's got as much say as you do."
In the end Wanda wants to be alone and goes to her cell.........
7. What is the matter with Ian? (he's being nice to Wanda!!)

5. Well, I just learnt it in class - soap is usually made with strong alkaline substances (sodium hydroxide in the lab) and without the proper equipment to neutralize it, the soap that comes out is highly alkaline and that burns as much as acid... :3

Wanda has gone to her 'prison hole' to think and be alone. Jamie finds her and is very mysterious.
Jared finds them together and is furious and doesn't want Jamie to spend time with 'it' (=Wanda).
jamie is really angry with Jared, because hurt Wanda/mel.
1. Do you think that jared would have killed Wanda with his bare hands?

When Wanda wakes up, she finds Jamie next to her.
They go for breakfast and there are eggs. Jamie likes eggs and asks for Kyle-sized prtion.Wanda doesn't want any because she feels that it is not for her.
Something is going and Jamie won't tell her what, but we are suspecting it has something to do with Doc.
Wanda spends the rest of the day with Ian; they cleaned the dishes in the stream in 'the black bathing room'.when they were done Ian escorted to the kitchen where there was lunch.

jared is calling Wanda and she's afraid and wants to run away. Wanda and Ian are in the cave and Jared arrives. He wants to speak to wanda, alone. The whole jared-being-there gave me goosebumps and made me very excited. So jared wants to know if Mel is still in the body and wanda starts to cry, all these emotions. And then jared kisses Wanda/Mel and Mel hits him. This makes Wanda sadder, i think that she feels like she's being used.
3. What was Jared trying to get out of this kiss?

Wanda is crying, she's very sad.
And later she comes to the kitchen with jamie and she eats her dinner because Jamie urges her to. And then she starts talking about dolphins.
Walter is not doing very well, he has a cancer and no one can cure it. Wanda goes to him to console him because he keeps 'asking' for her, it turned out that he saw his wife, Gladys, in her.
4. Do you think that Mel is kind of heartless toward other people, like poor walter for instince?

Wanda stays with Walter, because at the moment she's the only painkiller available in the cave. Doc needs morfine and is hoping that jared will produce another miracle, like the brandy. Walter recognized Wanda i the morning as Wanda. Doc feeds him some liquor (brandy).
There's a helikopter, inhabited by the Seeker, Wanda's seeker. Brandt comes to tie Wanda. Doc thinks that it's complete nonesense but Wanda stays and Brandt keeps an eye on her, or make it two.
5. Do you think that maybe Wanda had to escape?
1. No, not with Melanie's body I don't think so.2. Hm...read on and see...

4. Melanie? Heartless? I don't think so. Neither Wanda.

In this chapter Wanderer takes a shower very early in the morning and gets attacked by Kyle (Ian's brother). Kyle's intentions are to kill poor Wanda. The floor had started to shudder beneath them and the result was that the rock (ground) had started to crumble away. When Wanda had the chance to escape and not die, she risked her life for Kyle and saved his life. She also defended Kyle, saying that it was all an accident.
1. Do you think that it was wise of Wanda to save Kyle's life?
2. Do you think anyone actually believes Wanda's side of the story?

Kyle has been has been brought to Doc's and Wanda gets all fed up with jared calling her an 'it'. She explains that she is female and can truly bear young. And explains how the evolution of her species work.
Walter is dying, Jared has brought morphine. After Walter is gone, Doc also inserts Morphine into Wanda and she falls asleep. When she wakes up, she's outside at Walters funeral. But clearly the humans still do not trust Wanda, because they insert morphine into her body again, to take her inside.

Ian wants to give wanda his and Kyle's room. Wanda and Ian go to the playroom, where there is going to be a judgement. Kyle ends up to not be killed or banished from the caves and the humans play soccer.
Kyle doesn't regret his attempt to kill Wanda but said that he won't kill her, because she saved his life."Life for a life." Ian is becoming more and more protective of Wanda.
