My dad went to the theater with us and my daughter sat next to him, at the kissing part I thought she was going to die....lol. She's only 11 and watching that with her grandpa was pretty rough...

I watched it for the first time with my mom, it wasnt so bad. Second time with my dad, kissing scene, a tad uncomfortable, but other than that I spent the time watching his reactions. Over all it was better the next three times I watched it. :)

I only no one guy who has read them. I haven't got my Dad to watch the movie but my friend did. He sat through the whole thing in silence and then at the end said "well really she was a bit stupid to fall in love with a vampire" and that was the end of that.

Ha! I got a guy friend of mine who hates to read. So he had me summarize each chapter for him, then when he asked to watch the movie with me he was upset because he said: "Wait! Where's all the fighting this is just a love story!" When I explained that the werewolf stuff was going to be in the next film he was upset and said "figures" and walked away.

I have a guy friend that hates to read, too. And he hates Twilight on principle, because his sister keeps on chatting him up about it. I doubt he'll ever get around to read it, to validate his hate.

when i was reading the series my boyfriend zac was playing his video games hahah lame i know but anyways i would tell him all about the books.
sooo he liked the story line and than once i was done with them he would ask me all these questions
and since i was going to re read the series anyways im sure lol we both just decided that I would read a chapter out loud to him and than him to me. so yeah its SUPER CHEEEESEY but it was cute at the time now i have his word that he will go ith me to see new moon and thats a big step for him bc he is 100% boy, lets just say he is the meaning of the word jock so thats kind of a big deal lol

I read all the comments in here and I really don't think that Krystal was being mean or rude in her comment. She wasn't even really responding to you at all she was talking to Manuel about how silly it is that people in general think that if a guy reads Twilight he must be gay. She never said that YOU thought that only that others do and it is very shallow. After you went after her she may have gotten upset but any of us would when we feel like we are being attacked for no known reason. I'm sorry if you disagree but the plan and simple fact is that Krystal is a moderator in this group and I will always stand by my mods no matter what. Maybe this isn't the group for you...

My dad is a big reader, and he actually read all four of the books too :) He loved them, even. We were able to talk about them a lot and even had some hilarious arguments over them too (He's for Bella being with Jake, and I'm for Edward haha) but it's nothing too serious. The only thing is that it's so funny knowing that my dad read them all, but my mom won't even go near them lol!
