Jamie | 36 comments I'm reading a really funny memoir right now. I would especially recommend it to any Jews because it's about a Jew with some serious God issues and there is a lot of lingo that is especially funny if you have that background. It's called 'The Foreskin's Lament' by Shalom Auslander.

Renae (renaeclark) | 58 comments I gave up on the Glass Books of the Dream Eaters . . .definitely not what I was hoping for. I then read Out Stealing Horses A Novelwhich wasn't all that interesting either. Now, I'm going to a different genre and reading Good Grief

Rachel | 20 comments The new Sookie book, Dead and Gone is out today. I'm looking forward to reading it, but I think I'll wait for awhile before picking it up...I just started reading Pillars of the Earth.

Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series sound similar. I've never read this series you mention (although it sounds like I should). The Scarpetta series follows a coroner and homicide detective as they solves cases. Not realistic, I know, since a coroner wouldn't actually collect evidence from the scene, but I still enjoy them. However, because she is a coroner, some of the scenes are a little detailed and gross. If that bothers you a lot, I'd suggest not reading them, as it just gets more and more bizarre as the series goes along.

I've also read James Patterson's Women's Murder Club (1st To Die is the 1st one) and they are pretty interesting.

Renae (renaeclark) | 58 comments Just for the record, I thought The Glass Books of Dream Eaters was HORRIBLE. I only made it half way through the first book.

After reading Sarah's Key, I'm now on to Something Borrowed. I actually won this book from goodreads!!

Jamie | 36 comments I finished the Sookie series and now I'm reading Marked, it's another vampire book, but very YA and I have several faults with it. The author has this religious agenda that she is promoting and it gets annoying, as well as her references to pop culture which are practically dated already. I will finish the book because I'm halfway through and I hate to just toss it aside, but I worry that I will want to know where the story leads and have to read the next several books, lol.

After that is the Uglies series!

One more thing, Renae, what didn't you like about the Glass Books series? I'm thinking of reading it.

Rachel | 20 comments I just finished Pillars of the Earth. It's really good, but long and intense. I'm going to read Dead and Gone before I move onto World Without End, I need something fun and lite first. Has anyone else read this yet? I'm looking forward to it.

Renae (renaeclark) | 58 comments I'm reading A Catch of Consequence by Diana Norman (also Ariana Franklin) and this is looking like a 5 star for me. Great historical fiction.
