I'm taking a free online course called "Fantasy and science fiction: The human mind, our modern world." This week we're reading the Grimm fairytales. Yay! :D

I never learned to crochet, I used to knit and customise clothes though ☺ My sewing machine is well used!
It's a shame you're not here then, it rained all of last week, and it's tipping it down at the moment. Lots of rain here.
We're going through a drought here, so the air is extremely dry, and lack of water is becoming a reality. The whole region is desperate for a deluge
These past 2 weeks were really tiring for me. And I miss talking with you guys and participating in challenges.
Me too, Sarah. I haven't joined any buddy reading this month and it felt like I didn't meet any single fellow reader :) My friends outside Goodreads mostly aren't readers. That's why Goodreads is my favorite social media and this group is my most favorite group in Goodreads.
my friends outside of goodreads only read erotica, and would rather gossip and discuss getting pregnant than talk books. I want to read something that has something more than sex in it.
At least they read something (sort of), lol while my friends don't read at all. They mostly busy with status update in their more than two social media accounts. I often got the same status in different social media from them. And yes, my girl friends also would rather gossip, especially about who is marry whom, what the best kindergarten is for their kids and whatnot. I don't have any kids so I just couldn't keep up their talk.

He's 4 next week ☺
We don't have any pets, I don't have the motivation to clean up after them! and they never grow up and move out either.

Keith I saw the episode yesterday. SO good! I was about to give up on season four :/ My point is, just hang in there, it gets better :-)
I was wondering today, how young is "too young" to get married (not in the legal sense, in the emotional sense) ? I'm 22 and everyone I know or used to know (who are same age or little older) seems to be married, getting married or actively looking for a husband. So I'm kinda confused whether I am the one who still hasn't grown up or they have grown up too early. Sorry if this sounds childish to you! But I am really confused!
That depends upon the culture, I think. Where I live, you're considered young if you are married before the age of 25. I have one friend who's married and she was 23 I think, and another who's getting married next year and will be 20 by then. Personally I don't care about the age, I care more about how long you've known each other. To me it just seems insane to get married if you haven't known each other for at least a year. That probably has to do with my view on marriage: it's for life. Unless something serious comes up, you stick together in ups and downs.
Sorry, I'm just rambling now! Was any of this helpful to you? :-)
Thanks Irene! I agree with you too, but the sudden rush for husbands had me questioning everything. It sort of started with my cousin's wedding, who got married to her husband within one week of meeting him!As for culture, I know about girls in our school who were sort of coerced into marriage when they were 17-19 (just barely out of school), and who were by no means ready for marriage. So I asked an aunt of mine and she said that the younger they marry, the easier it is to settle down (she actually said something that roughly translates to breaking in the girl, but that just sounds crude!). On the other hand, I have a cousin who got married when she was in her mid thirties, after she made considerable progress in her career. So, I got confused. And I am sorry for rambling.
Sarah, did you have a boyfriend then whom you wanted to get married to? I think that would have been ok! I am talking about arranged or semi-arranged marriages. :)
In our culture, although 18 is the legal age for marriage, we think that that young is too early. My mom got married at the age 24, and I know some who got married from 19-22. My peers say that the older they get from getting a husband makes them fear that they might not have a partner in the future and end up being alone and they don't want that. But personally, I think the status of being stable enough determines it.
Well... I just uploaded a new video on my channel, it is a review of the Graphic Novel "Fables: Legends in Exile" here! http://youtu.be/1V-wYnsWlrM?list=UU9T...
