jalyn, we have to clean ourselves before prayer, and water must touch elbow to hand. nail polish covers the nail. I can clean myself and then wear nail polish, but I'll have to take it off the next time I pray. since we pray five times a day, it's really a baggage!! I'm sure it sounds very complicated, but it is not and our religion is very particular about cleanliness!! ;-)

I don't wear nail polish either, not for religious purposes but for practical reasons. I keep my fingernails short to avoid punctures when I don latex gloves and I wash my hands a lot at work. I have ugly hands, they are always dry because of frequent hand washing. =(

So I feel like a kid again - I have to get a 58 - 60 needle allergy test on 9th. And I hate needles and at first I was going to do the small test (10 needles) but my mom changed it to the larger one. I was joking but I told her because she added more needles to the test she needed to take me to Barnes and Noble and get a book after. She actually said yes. I have not gotten anything after a doctor's visit since I was like 6.....But it's a free book!

Woo hoo! I'm on break now from school! Going to New Hampshire on Monday, and don't have to go back to school for 10 blissful days! Only bad part: have to be in the car for 9.5 hours...ugh with my smelly bro!
Hi everyone, read the recent news from goodreads, about them joining Amazon Any thoughts about it? I'm not really sure if it's a good thing for members. How about those with different ereaders?
I did read it, but I'm not sure if I will be personally affected by it... I don't have a Kindle, so don't buy ebooks from Amazon...I did think it was pretty vague...

I have not read it but I do have the Barnes and Noble NOOK so....however I have found so many great free books from amazon that I downloaded the app for my laptop to read the free books.

Jalyn, welcome! My aunt came back from Canada yesterday, and she brought tons of polish for me! right now I'm sporting five colors on five nails (too lazy to put on right hand)!!! :D :D
Just made Easter cupcakes for all my neighbors! They're vanilla with a chocolate fudge filling and vanilla buttercream that I made green, and then made white chocolate bunnies and chicks and put them on top. I love baking!!!

I've watched it twice and I can't wait to watch it again. I really liked the humor and it was the first time I liked Eva green in a movie since I've watched that horrible french movies (and I love french movies), years ago.

Actually, I watched the first episode and didn't really like it. I'll probably watch more episodes because I don't want to judge the show only afer one episode.
