Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments I think my close to 6 month reading slump might be coming to an end, hello everyone!

What gets you guys out of a slump?

message 6617: by Jora Jordan (new)

Jora Jordan | 260 comments Audio books.

message 6618: by Jora Jordan (new)

Jora Jordan | 260 comments Because i can listen to them while doing other things. I tend to find myself in those slumps because of a lack of time to read to begin with. A few really good audio books tend to help get me back out.

message 6629: by Connie (new)

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments I found that loads of the series I need to finish are on Kindle Unlimited, which is great for me travelling at the end of this month and the end of next, but also not great because it means my searching has led to me finding like 6 other series to start :P

message 6630: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Buckley (rachelbuckley3) | 110 comments So I picked up this ARC because I wanted to read it before its publication date. I didn't expect to think anything of it, but I absolutely LOVE it! I'm only about a quarter of the way through, but I can't wait to see what happens next.

And @Connie, I do the same thing xD I search for continuations of series I like, and then a recommended feed pops up that shows me more books I feel like I'd absolutely love. It's how I've found some good books, but it's also why my TBR pile is stacked so high!

message 6631: by Connie (new)

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments @Rachel; besides my normal planning for the MMC next month, I have a list of Kindle Unlimited books that I want to read if I have time lol it's so bad

message 6632: by Jora Jordan (new)

Jora Jordan | 260 comments So i joined our library's book club. I figured that would be a good way to kind of branch out and read new things i wouldn't have otherwise chosen. I enjoyed the first book. The Boston Girl. Just started The Witches: Salem, 1692. Heres hoping i finish in time. :)

Yeah I know about those, but I think I need something I can use when I'm on the go etc :)

message 6637: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Onenote works really well for me. I've been using it for a few years now and I still love it.

I had a bit of an adjustment period though when my last computer died since the new version I'm using wasn't the same as my last one but if you are a fan of binders it's very similar to that. :)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments There's a big case here in Denmark at the moment. It's been giving me nightmares for two days straight now!
So there's this guy who builds submarines and rockets, he's really smart! He's been arrested.
Ten days ago or so, he sailed of with a Swedish journalist. Then the submarine sunk. Like, took in water. He was rescued, but they didn't find the woman. On Monday they found her body, but it was missing legs, arms and head. The police has just confirmed this morning that it was the missing woman.
Now, this scientist guy said that there was an accident in the submarine and that he had to "bury her at sea"
He's been charged with murder (not sure of the degree!)

I'm not gonna judge the man. I'm just gonna say it's some really creepy sh*t!!!! No matter how, and who, this case is just insane. If it was a book, I'd be sleeping with my lights on for sure!

message 6647: by Irene (new)

Marge Inn (creativepausestudio) | 1 comments I'm currently reading Family Magic (Hayle Coven #1) by Patti Larsen Family Magic and am amazed I haven't read this series yet! It's really good and I love the female protagonist, Sydlynn and all the supporting characters. Has anyone else read this? There's over 20 books in the series??
