I'm trying to finish a couple of books that I'm reading. One of them seems to be taking a while ☺
What books are you trying to finish, I'm not keen on the one I'm reading it's called Duff but the one I read before which is called Asylum was great :)
Samia, I was like that in January, when temperatures reached 38°C, now it's a bit cooler for us (around 15-17°C, which I think would be warm for Sarah LOL)
Ok. The weather where im at is weard. We seem to have all 4 seasons in a week right now. Is working on turning into summer but were not there yet and still get a freez sometimes.

Yep, 17 degrees is bikini weather over here ☺

Yep, thought so! My German cousins want to go to the beach with those temperatures, in shorts and swimsuits, while everyone else is shivering and wearing long sleeves and sweaters LOL

Today's a bit cooler though, around 28, because we had a massive storm this morning.
@Once, where do you live? Is it south africa? I once read that they have four seasons a day?
Samia wrote: "Tati wrote: "Yep, thought so! A couple weeks in April it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit then snowing the next day
Heather wrote: "It's 98 degrees Fahrenheit here in South Carolina so I'm going to lay out and read all afternoon!!"Holy shoot thats hot it hasn't gotten that hot in PA yet but it sure feels like it here.
It's actually quite a nice day here at the moment. It's about 13 degrees centigrade, and we have the back door open to let the sunshine in!
It's been a horrible weather here! Storming, raining and what not. The sun's shining now though. I think it's about 10C this evening, but I'm not too sure
Tati wrote: "Wut? An open door with 13°C?? Nope, nope, nope LOL"
ha ha! It's not raining and the sun is out! We're happy!

It rained here all last week. I suppose at least the garden was happy.

But but, it's cold!!I find it funny how hot and cold are relative. While I was England, I was comfortable with 13°C, and opened the window and all. But now that I'm back to a tropical country, I can't even entertain the possibility of leaving a door open with 13°C
If the sun is out 13°C is fine, when its raining or there's a strong wind it's not so nice! When you're used to the colder temperatures I suppose 13°C seems warm ☺
Exactly! On the other hand, for instance, I'm pretty comfortable with 25-28°C, whereas my German cousins are melting at those temps

It also depends on humidity :) I can easily deal with 30C in, say, South Spain, whereas 30C here (Denmark) is almost disgusting due to the humidity.. Not that it's ever 30 degrees......lol!
Its raining here. We love it though because it helps relieve the affects of the drought. New kitten, im the baby sitter so its making it hard to get any reading done. Three other cats most of witch dont like the new kitten. Shes about 4 weeks old.
13°C is a little chilly but ok with long sleeves or a blanket. Ill open the window and leave it open. 27°C is about my limit. Any higher i start having issues. Summer almost here and it will get up to 39°C or higher. I hate it. Cant stand to be outside for very long then.
When temperatures go below 17°C, people here start bundling up like crazy. Long sleeves, sweaters, boots, scarves, hats, gloves. And no way they leave windows open (there is no central heating here).

39 sounds unbearable!

the fact that you have no central heating shows how warm it must be there! my central heating is set to 17°C!

but when it does get cold, the inside of the house is sometimes colder than outside... I've heard more than one foreigner say they have never felt so cold as they had here
Most people here have central heating and cooling both. We range from -15°C to 40°C over the year. Cold is freezing and hot is just unbearable hot.
If anyone isn't busy would someone would be kind enough to let me send them 45 pages of a book I'm working on just to edit and see what I need to do. I'm trying to be very different but it seems like i'm using some classy lines and would really love if someone would read it.
Tati wrote: "but when it does get cold, the inside of the house is sometimes colder than outside... I've heard more than one foreigner say they have never felt so cold as they had here"yup, happens every winter. A cold wave hits, and boom, there's no warm place, except the kitchen!!!
we had two back to back storms, but today is sunny and it's 91 F / 33 C here!!
I started running on Monday. Can't believe I actually went for my second run this morning - I was sore all over, but still got out the door! :)Here's to hoping I can actually manage to get out the door three times a week for the next eight weeks! :P

Well done! :)
I just read a Danish debut novel. It's being sold as "erotic YA." Now, I get that means that sex is part of the novel, but this was just too much. First of all, isn't YA books supposed to have a main character who's 13-18 years old? The main character in this book was 22. Secondly, this book was Fifty SHades all over again. How is that a ya book?! Seriously? I don't even know what to say... I was supposed to have an interview with the author on my blog, but I think I'll just pass on that oppurtunity!
