Amy | 2535 comments I agree with that Samia, The Vampire Diaries are awful books too but the show is my favourite. I've never read Fifty Shades of Grey but I'll definitely watch the film... probably for a laugh with friends.

I loved the first fifty shades book, but I wasn't so happy with the second and third books. It's erotica basically so you have to go into it expecting lots of sex ;)

message 5103: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I know it's erotica and that's fine, I just couldn't connect with the writing style :)

Hmm, yeah, you're right. The Vampire Diaries is a great example! Haven't wathced Gossip Girl, so I don't know about that one :)

message 5104: by Samia (new)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) | 451 comments Gossip girl is good, if you are into teenage drama and lots of awesome dresses! I was a teen then myself, so it was perfect for me. I'd probably stop at the second episode if I start watching it now!

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments @Samia - I tried it a couple of times, and I think it's just a bit too young for me now :)

message 5107: by Tati (new)

Tati I have read the three Fifty Shades books, and they were awful, compared to others in the genre. I am not going to watch the movies for two reasons:

1. The books were awful
2. I'm not brave enough to buy a ticket LOL

message 5108: by [deleted user] (new)

There's a movie of those? That's scary.

message 5109: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Haha no way I'm gonna go to the movies to see it! But when it comes out, well, maybe! :)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) went to Marie Lu's book signing event a while ago. She's so lovely and cool! I love how she explains her inspirations on Legend trilogy. The crowd was just crazy.

My wishes this year are so practical!
Serving dishes, sauceboat (is this a word or did google translate just make this one up?!), vases, soup pot etc... Yeah... Boring! :P

message 5119: by Tati (new)

Tati I wish I was like you, already knowing what to ask... I have until this weekend to figure it out.

I've got too many deadlines in my life right now LOL

message 5120: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Hmm, is there anything you kind of need, but haven't bought yet? I kind of need a soup pot, but it's so boring to spend money and kitchen stuff, I just don't... ;)
Or how about some cute socks? Lol

Oh I hear you! :D

I asked for beauty stuff as no-one will buy me books, getting a vibrating face cleaning brush, some make-up brushes, some moisturiser, a new nail polish base coat that's supposed to be peelable(!), a new topsy tail, and some hair conditioner. Hopefully that way people won't buy me rubbish.

Rachael (classycupcakezz) | 5933 comments @Sarah - A clarisonic?? I have one and absolutely loveeeee it

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I have a major problem all my books that I have on my computer from Netgalley already expired and my computer has to be sent back to get reset any suggestions on what to do? I can't review those books without reading them.

message 5124: by Tati (new)

Tati Have they been archived? If not, you can download them again. If so, I think you'll have to send a feedback stating you couldn't review the book

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Yes they have been archived and thats the problem. I would feel bad about that.

message 5126: by Tati (new)

Tati Another option is see if any of them have already been published, get a copy of the published book and submit a review of that

Rachael (classycupcakezz) | 5933 comments I have the perfect gift idea you guys... I'm obsessed with Jamberry nails, have you heard of them? Heat activated vinyl wraps for your nails! No more waiting for nails to dry and no harsh chemicals. They're easy to put on and a lot less expensive then getting them done professionally. And over 300 designs to chose from. Here's some examples: description description description

Those are so pretty!

I found out the other day that if you dip your nails in olive oil for 5 seconds after painting them, they dry instantly! How cool is that?! Has anybody else ever heard of that??

Finished my paper today. I don't have to hand it in before January 5th, but I like to have it done before christmas, so... Now I just feel like it's really crappy and ugh! The analysis I did don't feel very analyzing... It just feels like I'm describing a lot of things...

Writing papers either goes really well, or you feel its awful. Maybe you could get someone to read through it and see if they think it makes sense?

Neither of my brother's have read them either. In fact my youngest brother hasn't even seen the second film, so now he's seen film number 1, and film number 3!
