Paul (paullev) | 52 comments reading from the first chapter of Unburning Alexandria - which was actually included in the ebook of The Plot to Save Socrates, and was published as a part of Unburning Alexandria the novelette in Analog Magazine in 2008. It's complicated, but, hey, it's time travel - and, the important thing is I'm now writing the concluding chapter of Unburning Alexandria, which will be published on Kindle in the next few months. In the meantime, here's the video of the reading (from 2008), followed by a q & a about time travel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYkbFV...

Unburning Alexandria (Sierra Waters, #2) by Paul Levinson

Paul (paullev) | 52 comments SF Revu http://www.sfrevu.com/php/Review-id.p... wrote in 2002 about the novelette:

Paul Levinson's 'Unburning Alexandria" was a nicely told story of time travel set in 413 AD Alexandria and other cities. Sierra is trying to rescue works from the famous library but she has another goal, too. A number of characters, historical and not, pop in to the story filled with intrigue and mystery. I liked this but I was left waiting for more. I hope Mr. Levinson has more to tell.

I did, and it's now all in the novel http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CMBWDXW

Paul (paullev) | 52 comments The Plot to Save Socrates "is both very different from anything Levinson has done before and very satisfying. . . . This, I think, is the first of Levinson's novels to deserve to be called a tour de force." - Tom Easton, Analog, 2006 - now available for instant download on Kindle etc, with an additional chapter, and you don't need a Kindle to read it (free Kindle apps for Mac and PCs) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AMUDJNS/r...
