@Emma I am currently reading city of bones. So far I have found it interesting. And we're discussing about it on buddy reads group. U may join us :)
Right now I am reading
but next I think I am going to finally give
a chance. I also been reading some adult stuff.
Venise I finished it today itself (city of bones) . It's good. But there will be an urgent need to finish off the series ASAP .
@ Chelsea
is definitely a rough read. However, the style of writing is unique and beautiful. The stories within are heart-wrenching but, it is worth taking your time to read. You will not forget it.I just finished
and
. These are exquisite reads.I am just starting
.
Danielle wrote: "30% into Indigo Spell! Loving it so much"I'm 60% through The Indigo Spell. When I was reading it last night, I could hardly pull myself from it long enough to do my homework, and I even stayed up an hour late last night to read. It's amazing. :)
I just finished both Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Paterson (and is very patiently waiting for a possible sequel, hoping that it will come out) & Paradise by Joanna Nadin (and I'm still processing everything that happened).I just moved onto
&
So far, i'm enjoying both.& then
.
Oh, man. I love the feeling I get when I finish a fantastic book. I'm so happy. :)I just finished The Indigo Spell. It was amazing, and I can't wait till the next one comes out in November!
just got indigo spell so as soon as I finish the series I'm reading now its on too the book I'v waited much too long for
I'm going to take a break from the other books I've been reading (again, since I did this with The Indigo Spell) to read
this weekend. I've read it before, but I'm planning to see the movie on Monday, and I can't remember anything that actually happened in it. It'd be cool to have someone read this with me for the Buddy Reads for the weekend, if anyone would be willing to.
Sure I can everyone has been telling me that's a great book so it will give me an excuse to read it what is it about
K just went over to amazon and got it but the cover is diffrent and I think I like your cover better lol
by Cassie clare and
by Libba BrayThe second one is for school we had to choose a historical book and start reading it that day, and I had already started Glass so... :)
I gifted that book on v day to myself XD lol (Rapture) The whole series is great. After finishing mortal instruments we'll discuss fallen series or just rapture too bcuz I feel like discussing it desperately.
Sure it's been a little bit since I read them so I will get them out and scan through them and we can talk about them
Last Read: The Lost Years - mary higgins-clark (would not recomend it to anybody)Currently Reading: Blood Red Road - moira young (strange narrative but enjoying it so far)
Next to Read: Above - Leah Bobet
I just finished reading
and
, and loved them both. I may have been slightly let down by the ending of City of Bones, but I'm still going to read City of Ashes next.

It took me a while to get into Enchantment, but by the end of the book I was hooked.
What I didn't like: the constant rambling about sex and lust became tedious, and Channie's family was annoying.
What I liked: Josh and Channie's relationship became more about love than lust out of necessity, which is pretty rare in YA fiction (IMO), and Josh was unbelievably patient- that made him sexy. lol
What did you think?

That's what didn't like about Enchantment, and unfortunately I didn't reach the ending before I got distracted by another book. I need to finish it.
I agree I read it cause I had it and I was about to give up reading it except I wanted to know if they were going to make it together the second one is much worse about the sex than the first but I kind of liked the probably won't read them agin
Here's a question: do you think self-publishing has lowered your standards for books?
I have read so many terrible books that even if I don't like a book, if it has decent grammar, spelling and punctuation I will at least give it two stars.
After reading Enchantment, I kind of wondered if my new standards were making me like the book more than should have, because at least most of the punctuation and other stuff was okay. Does that make sense?

Being a reader and not a writer I don't get over upset about errors I like to get into my story's ( it is still aggravating sometimes when there are alot of them). But I find the more books a person reads changes there opinion on book some of the books I read a year ago if I go back and read them they are not as good as I thought they were to begin with so I guess I rate much tuffet now than I did when I fist started reviewing if that makes any sence at all
I'm the same way. Ever since I started reviewing books on Goodreads instead of just rating them, I've become more critical. I've been doing a lot of rereading, too. I care more about the content than grammar, honestly. Unless its really bad (I hate bad grammar), I will like it if the author is creative and can draw me into the story.
Oh, I have Divergent too! I got distracted by a few other books but I'm looking to read that very soon.
@Kaitlin and Elizabeth- maybe I am picky about grammar, punctuation and such because I'm a writer and it embarrasses me when I find those errors in my books! But I'm like you guys, I won't write a book off just for a few spelling errors. I'd be missing out on a lot of awesome books if I did that!

I'm going to finish The City of Lost Souls tonight (finally), and start on Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck, which has been calling out "Read me! Read me!" for the last year. (Before I read Divergent last month, it was doing the same thing, so I'm hoping tiger's curse is as good in a way that it doesn't disappoint.)
Currently reading Clockwork Angel, and tomorrow I'll likely be reading the sequel. It only takes me at most two or three days to finish a book, so I don't bother using the "Currently Reading" feature on GoodReads unless I want to take a break and use it to keep my place for a few weeks.
I am taking a break from Tiger's Curse (it's kinda ruining my weekend, but I will finish it), to read The Statistical Probability of Love at first sight. Sometimes, after reading a bunch of paranormal books, I crave a nice, lighthearted, romantic contempory read.
Finished both of the books in the Infernal Devices series now, so I'm reading Paper Towns by John Green. Again I'll probably be done with it tomorrow. Let me know if frequently posting the books I'm currently reading is annoying, because at this rate every other post is going to be mine on here, lol. I read pretty quickly.
