Thanks Dawn and Jenni.
There's just too many good books and too little time to read them all..I started to read on Friday
a 700 page tour de force and it is amazing..what really saddened me though was that the author Paul Sussman died very soon after completing this book, what a great loss to the literary world...so sad that he will no longer be around to produce such awesome thrillers
Hello, everyone. I am a crime and action adventure author from Swansea in the UK. My reading tastes vary from horror (No Zombie stuff though ha ha)to Science Fiction as well as crime. I'm currently reading The Wettest County in the World by Matt Bondurant, based on a true story set in Prohibition era America. Anyway hello and have a nice day.
Linda wrote: "Hi Andrew, welcome. I hope you enjoy the group as much as I am."Hi Linda thanks for the welcome, I'm sure I will.

Hi Everyone, I'm a 47 year old lawyer living in Mexico City. I got hooked on reading after I read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton at the age of 13 in a boarding school runned by nuns in Philadelphia (figure that out). I pretty much like to read anything I can get my hands on, specially SF, mysteries and fantasy novels.
I'd love to read your recommendations.
Oh yes. I have driven past it many times. I attended Villanova University which isn't far from St Aloysius.
Yes I've seen it too, they are very close. Haven´t been there in 30 years but it was a beautiful place and I remember it fondly.
I'm sure that you are enjoying much warmer weather than we are right now. I have been to Mexico City. That is a beautiful place as well.
We are having good weather now, not like last week, and it is a nice place to live, no complaints there.
Welcome to the group, Sara and Luke! Luke, you are my neighbor; I live in Tupelo, Mississippi. Louisiana is such a beautiful state, which you must enjoy in your forestry job. When I was in college, I remember a friend of mine majoring in forestry and loving it.
So glad to have you here with us, neighbor! : )
Hi Enrique! It sounds like you have read some interesting books and met some interesting characters in real life. Those nuns in Catholic school can drill the lessons into you, right? : ) So glad you love books and the joy of reading!
Welcome to our group where you will find lots of recommendations and discussions. Jump right in!
: )
Welcome, Andrew! We are delighted to have you in our group and hope you jump right into the discussions. It sounds like you will fit perfectly in our book group! Welcome aboard! : )

Hello Connie, I did learn a lot with those nuns, they were like surrogate mothers to us boarders.
Thank you so much for making us newbies feel so welcome!
Hi,I'm a newbie. I've been on Goodreads since 2008 and never joined a group and thought it was high time I did. I have eclectic (though not high-brow) tastes in reading but am concentrating on mysteries. I just moved back to Boulder, CO from Flagstaff. I have roots in the Nebraska Sandhills.
Hi, Shannon, welcome. It's interesting to find out where everybody is from. I'm from amll town in Ontario Canada.
Welcome, Mindy. I just moved from Flagstaff and spent a fair amount of time in southern Utah. Love Moab, as well and Canyonlands.
Hi everyone!!! :)My name is Mariela, I'm Dominican and I love reading! ♥
I enjoy reading all kinds of books, and my favorite authors are Dan Brown, Paulo Coelho and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Usually I read books in Spanish, but I'm learning English and now I try to read in English only.
I like the idea of being part of the group and enjoy new experiences with different books! :)
MD ♥
Thanks Jenni! :)My country is in Central America and is beautiful, you'll love. I'm now living in New Jersey, USA. I love the group and I can't wait for their recommendations about new books.
I love English and I hope to learn a lot more here, sharing experiences with you.
Thanks so Much, Again! :)
Bienvenida al grupo Marie!Out of courtesy to the other members that's all I'll write in Spanish, hope you have fun in this group which I just joined myself.
Oh that's great! Oh yes, I like so much, is a nice place to live! :)
I only have 10 months living here and I love it.
I stop being shy here and say hello as a new member. I live in Los Angeles (go ahead with the jokes--I can take 'em) and I'm very happy to have a group to read and discuss mysteries with even though it's all through the ether.

My family usually does the marathon. Sadly, I have pretty bad knee issues and can't do the length of running but I still visit. I live in mid to northern Utah just south of Salt Lake valley, about 20 minutes from Sundance ski resort. I lived in Vegas for a while too and I miss not having 2 feet of snow. Too cold but this is where the friends and family I love are at so I stay.
Hello, new here! My name is Chiara and I am from Sydney. I spend about 12 hours a week commuting to work and all of that is spent reading. I go through about 1 - 3 books a week and wouldn't have it any other way. I like most genres and really enjoy getting recommendations and discussing books with others.
