Rona Simmons (ronasimmons) Hi, I'm an avid reader and an author of a new book -- this time a "thriller" -- as so many readers I met love thrillers. I love understated suspense/thrillers that make you wonder whether the guilty are innocent or the innocent guilty.
If you have any recommendations for me, let me konw.

Welcome Kelly, you can check out the BOTM - Girl with Dragon Tattoo - which I find intolerable. Loved the movie though. I'm an indie mystery-thriller author and could recommend other indie mystery-thriller authors if you like. Indies need more love on this thread! Just saying.

Krish | 4 comments Hi Vasem...nice to know about your book. I am a big fan of Michael Connelly too. Currently reading "The Closers"

message 3206: by Krish (new)

Krish | 4 comments Hi..Iam Krish from India. Cricket and reading fiction are my favourite hobbies. My top 5 favourite authors are Harlan Coben, Michael Connelly, Linwood Barclay, David Baldacci and Lee Child. I like Jeffery Deaver and Vince Flynn too...Looking forward to discussing a lot about books.

message 3207: by Craig (new)

Craig Kingsman (craigkingsman) Hi all. I don't think I introduced myself when I joined some months ago. If I did, please feel free to kill me off in your next novel.

I am a software engineer by day and have authored or co-authored two books on software development and write a semi-regular magazine column.

I am just over 20,000 words into writing my first novel, a murder mystery of course. The premise: A police officer finds a friend's body the night before he begins his new assignment on the detective squad after being promoted.

Some of my favorite current authors are Johnny Worthen, Michael Darling, Jussi Adler-Olsen, Kelley Armstrong, and Robert Galbraith.

Patrick | 2 comments Hello everyone. My name is Patrick and I am a recent graduate of university and currently reside in Washington, DC. I am a recent lover of thriller and mystery novels, especially ones set in our nation's capital. My current favorite authors are David Baldacci and Brad Thor, although I freely admit I am probably not as well read as most of you. I am looking forward to learning more about books, connecting with other mystery and thriller lovers, and discovering new books.

James Nelson | 1 comments Hello, all. My name is Jim Nelson. I'm a big fan of thrillers. A big Jack Reacher fan, as so many are. I like Paul Doiron, Michael Connelly and others as well. While I like big, international, Robert Ludlam-esque thrillers, I think I enjoy smaller-scale, less entire-world-in-jeapardy books more.

Krish | 4 comments Welcome James....Glad to note that you are a fan of Jack Reacher...I too like Michael Connelly. Please try Harlan Coben and Linwood Barclay's books, if you have not tried before...mind blowing writing...

Hi All,

I'm a bookworm, reading a book every day or two. Love page-turners with beautiful writing and deep insight into the human psyche. Authors I adore are numerous and include Tana French, Jo Nesbo and Camila Lackberg. When I'm not reading, I'm writing psychological suspense.

Nathan Bush | 53 comments Hey all, I'm Nathan. I love to read, when time permits, and write as well. I have one book here on GR, Written in Blood, which is a Christian crime novel, and am working away on 2 and 3. Glad to find other mystery/crime/thriller readers on here.

C. | -5 comments Hi everyone, I enjoy most genres as anyone reading my profile can tell, as long as they are "clean" but not too Preachy.

I've just recently gotten more into mystery, especially the cozies, but I do enjoy psychological chillers, and regular mystery as long, as they do not have grisly/gruesome crime descriptions, nothing too graphic, no sex scenes or pervasive profanity, no harm to a child, and never, ever..... inside the perp's head!

Sam (Clues and Reviews) (cluesandreviews) Hello all!
My name is Sam and I'm addicted to any sort of crime fiction or psychological thriller. I'll basically read anything but I have been consuming these types of books lately.
I just recently started blogging my reviews as well and becoming more active on Goodreads! I'm glad to be meeting more people and discussing books with them since everyone I am around on a daily business would rather watch the movie lol

message 3220: by C. (new)

C. | -5 comments Hi Sam, boy I know what you mean. None of my friends or family are readers, except my oldest daughter, out of three kids!

message 3221: by Nick (new)

Nick Knardirell | -3 comments Hey Sam!

I started liking those types of books sort of all of a sudden and I don't regret it!

In fact I have written a crime fiction novel, Minnesota: Her Account; Her View. Where books are sold!

Happy reading.

I'll review your book. I write in the genre. I don't do review swaps unless it's a third party swap. I'll send you my new book Swarm Theory and if you can get a third party to review that would be fine. Please send contact info

JimbeauC Hi. Obviously new.
Shall I just get right down to it?
Where would be the best place to shamelessly plug my wife's new novel?

message 3228: by Kim. E. (new)

Kim. E. | 3 comments Hi everyone! I joined GR a few months ago but just discovered this group a couple days ago. I live in Southern Indiana and have loved books all my life(there is nothing like going into a library or bookstore for me- even on Christmas I can't wait til I can get off to the side and open a new book I got as a gift and start reading). My niece is the same way. I had a stroke at 39 & thought that was gone forever, but after three years of daily work I began the process back. I just can't read as quickly as I used to.

I also love traveling and genealogy.

My book interests focus on true crime, suspense, history (perfect to help with genealogy), politics, and presidential history (my goal next year is to read one book about each president and some First Ladies). My favorite author is J. D. Robb.

message 3229: by Mara (new)
