Hi Marwan,
I have read the original In Death trilogy so many times I've lost count. I've just joined the JD Robb group as well.
Hi,I've just realised that I managed to post my "newbie hello" in the wrong thread. sigh.
Anyway, here we go again:-
I live in Jersey in the Channel Islands but was born in Scotland. I am a crazy reader. Pre-kindle days meant going on holiday for a fortnight with at least 10 paperbacks in my suitcase.
If I start reading a great book I literally can't put it down, a matchsticks in the eyes scenario to stay awake. I pretty much read across the genres. I just adore a good story.
I love reading mysteries and crime thrillers so much that I write in that genre too. My debut novel came out last year. Blood In The Sand is crime and murder laced with romance in the idyllic island of Jersey.
I've devoured JD Robb's In Death series and recently re-read all of the Agatha Christie Miss Marple stories. Lee Childs, Tess Gerritsen, Harlan Coben, Martina Cole and Jo Nesbo feature high on my "much loved" list.
Looking forward to some good chats and book recommendations.
Hi everyone,I'm a long time lurker but I love this group.
Just in the middle of Lawrence Block's Lawrence Block Borderline.
I write, mostly historical fiction, but have a crime fiction series in the works.
I look forward to participating in this group and not just lurking.
Hi. I'm Ian Coates, a thriller lover and writer based in South East England. I grew up on books by great authors such a Victor Canning and Desmond Bagley, before moving on to Robert Ludlum and Jack Higgins. More recently, I've discovered writers such as Simon Kernick, Tom Cain and Tom Bale, all of which I would highly recommend. My own thriller is called Eavesdrop: A Gripping International Spy Thriller, a modern tale of assassins, smugglers and high-tech spies.
I look forward to joining in the discussions about great crime and thriller books.
Hello there! I'm Jennifer and I've been a fan of mysteries since discovering Nancy Drew: #1-64 and The Westing Game in grade school. I still consider it to be my favorite genre. It's hard to keep up with all the great books out there so I'm glad I found this group! I'm currently reading Gallery Pieces: An Art Mystery and The House of Dolls. I'm also a writer, my second book (and first mystery) will be published in June. I look forward to reading your recommendations!

Hi, I read a lot of mystery books. My other main genres of interest include fantasy and general fiction. I'm always on the lookout for new titles to add to my ever expanding wish list! Some of my favourite mystery writers are Sharon Bolton, Greg Iles, Michael Robotham I love physiological thrillers, but I'm a real wimp when it come to torture and gore - count me out! As I'm dyslexic I mainly listen to audiobooks, though I do some reading on my kindle. I'm based in Ireland.Looking forward to some good discussions :-)
Hello. I enjoy reading Jim Thompson, James Ellroy, Raymond Chandler, Stephen King, "Dutch", Homer, a bunch of twisted Japanese authors, and some of them lit'rary types.
I'm also an author of international pulp thrillers.
Born in the US, spent the past 20 years working in Hong Kong, and travel all over the joint. "Jame" is almost my real name.

Hi! I'm Danielle! I enjoy reading all kinds of books, but mostly psychological thrillers, and true crime. Chevy Stevens, Jennifer Hillier, John Glatt, etc. I am a fan of fiction and non-fiction dealing with this genre so if you have any recommendations send them my way! I do mini book reviews and updates on my new twitter account so give me a follow @danireadss and add me here (:

Hi, I'm Manning! I'm an author and attorney residing in Austin, Texas and recently wrote my debut novel, Dollar Signs: Texas Lady Lawyer vs. Boots King. I'm currently working on book #2 in the series and look forward to interaction with y'all!
Hi all, my name is Karolyn and I love reading crime books! Have been to some author events and loved them. Like to many authors to mention but like Scandinavian crime too. Live in Norwich, Norfolk in England and been a goodreads member for sometime but still doesn't stop me getting the same book from the library!
Greetings, all! My name is Antonio Garcia. I'm a self published author and more importantly, I love to read. Because I work full time in IT and have a long commute, I read a lot of Kindle Books on my computer at work, listen to Audiobooks on the way to work, and at home, I read paperbacks. I read everything and anything that sounds interesting at the time. My favorite authors are Stephen King, Dean Kootz, and Clive Cussler, though since becoming a self published author, I've really been spending more time reading other self published works. I've come to appreciate the hard work that goes into writing.
Now, I'm joining this group to meet other readers like me and I'm looking forward to interacting with you :)
Hello, fellow crime lovers--Does that make us criminals?--I'm a novelist and screenwriter who loves the bad guys as much as the cops and detectives who try to put them away. I'm always looking for new titles to read.

Hello , my name is Isabella, I'm 18 and I'm from Brazil . I love mystery books , psychological thriller , legal thriller , etc. , but my favorite genre among these is the crime novel . I am Agatha Christie fan and Stieg Larsson
Hi, I'm Kat. I love mysteries. I cut my teeth on Agatha Christie and Erle Stanley Gardner, and have never looked back. Okay, I'm older than some of you. Okay, quite a bit. I just want to meet like-minded readers. I'm passionate about reading -- not just mysteries.
Welcome to all you newbies!! I enjoy mostly mysteries and suspense novels. I'm not into romance but I do enjoy Lisa Jackson and Iris Johansen series, if you consider them romances. My motto is "Life is short so read when you can" lol.
Hi all! I've only just discovered the magic that is Goodreads but I am quickly becoming addicted! I'm an author and an avid reader. I have two books published (The Everett Files Book 1: Take You Apart and Book 2: Take You to Hell. Book 3 is a work in progress). If you enjoy your thrillers with a dash of romance then they may be for you (and if you do read them please let me know what you think.)As a reader, I really enjoy the works of Karin Slaughter, Karen Rose, Tara Moss and everything by James Patterson. I also read a lot of detective stories and fantasy - Robin Hobb is amazing!!!!
Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all and sharing lots of good books!

Hello all, my name is Sara. I live in Virginia and love to read. I look forward gaining friends and sharing opinions with others.
Hi-I'm Robert D. Calkins, author of the Sierra the Search Dog spectrum of books.
I'm a Search and Rescue dog handler in western Washington, USA, retired from a law enforcement agency.
Although I write mysteries, I admit my favorite genre is military history, learning more about the people who gave and preserved this great land we live in.
Looking forward to what others have to say in this sub-group.

Hi everybody,
I joined Goodreads a few months ago but haven't been very active and I'm still trying to work out which groups to join, so I've just joined this one. I read all sorts of things — I wouldn't even rule out vampires or zombies though I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to seek them out. I particularly like strong plots and plenty of intrigue, so I obviously like crime fiction. I tend to shy away from serial killers, unless there's an unusual angle, as in Michael Dibdin's Dark Spectre.

Hello one and all! I'm a huge reader, but lately I've been getting into mysteries and thrillers. I like
but I'm also into cozies. I like the classics, too, and am trying to read my way through a list of '50 Top Mysteries' that I found somewhere on line. I'm hoping to learn more about newer authors.
Hello everyone! My passion is reading, but I'm also an author of several books. I enjoy a good mystery with plenty of suspense. I look forward to discussing books and hearing the latest. Best wishes...
Hello all, my name is Jodi (aka msjodi777) I'm a fat old retired broad, who has spent her life reading - I'm not quite old enough to have read with a candle under the covers at nite, but I did use a flashlight to read under the covers. While I do read the occasional dt format (dead tree = paperbacks and hardbacks,) I am mostly a digital reader who uses my kindle app and audiobooks for my reading addiction. Since I'm retired, I can get thru about a book every 36 hours which ends up being a lot of books a year. While I do read other genres - mostly fantasy, biographies, and histories - mysteries and thrillers are definitely my favorites. I like to read my series in order, but rarely read the books of a series back to back. I also like a very wide variety of books in each of my favorite genres which is why you will see everything from MC Beaton to MJ Arlidge on my books read list. I am always looking for "new to me" authors who may have been around a while, but I've never read anything by them yet - have found quite a few just by taking a chance on their books.
All in all, I hope to find lots of new books to read, and, in return, share some of the books I've read so the rest of you can enjoy them too. <><
I've been a Goodreads member for years, but I admit, not very active. I am working to change tat. I LOVE mystery, suspense, thrillers, gothic, police procedurals, etc. I do a lot of my 'reading' through audio books because I am SO busy. Always looking for great new authors, so any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
yes i will say the same as i am a new in member in a way, but do enjoy knowing that there are so many author that i never heard .enjoy and welcome
Hi, I'm Paul, a retired academic living in the Swiss Alps. I'm a fairly avid reader, though I must confess I prefer discussing books I've read than just writing a review. Having said that, perspective is a wonderful thing - I've just self published my first novel and, with my brand new author hat on, I'm very keen for readers to write a review! No hard sell from me , other than it's called Codename Lazarus by A P Martin. Check it out if you like spy thrillers and watch for the upcoming giveaway.
Hi,My name is Chris and I am the author of the book "Seeking Justice", a "Stunning Crime Novel that Takes a Man to the Pits of Hell and Back".

Also, I launched a giveaway for Seeking Justice that has started today. I invite you to enter it: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Hi,My name is Laurie and I just published my first international forensic crime novel: Said the Fly. i I have been avidly reading mysteries all my life, so I would have joined this group anyway even if I hadn't wanted to find more readers to possibly review my book ;-)
I was really lucky to get a starred review from Kirkus Reviews and they called it "dazzling" and "smartly written"! You can download it from Amazon FREE August 17-21 at http://bit.ly/2bqHpIM
and find out more about it on Goodreads here: http://bit.ly/2b73v4a
