I am Elizabeth who has been in Goodreads for a long time now. I love many genres but have a special love for Scandinavian mysteries.
I just finished reading "Until Tuesday" about the Wounded Wa..."
Welcome Elizabeth! Lucky you for living in the beautiful, lush, green Northwest. I my family lives up there and it is gorgeous.

I'm Nicholas, 24, who lives in Scotland, in a town somewhere west of Glasgow. I tend to mostly read crime and fantasy fiction, with a particular preference for anything written by Ian Rankin. I hope to discover more crime novels here, and to just generally get to know some fellow book lovers.

Welcome Nicholas! Lovely to have a Scot join the group. Congratulations on finishing university.

Thank you Leigh and Malina. Hopefully people like you will introduce me to more and wonderful crime fiction in the weeks to come!

Welcome Bernie! I'm sure you will find new books to enjoy in this group.

I finished the first book a couple days ago and ADORED it! Inspector Gamache is such a great character, the writing was good, and the mystery plot made sense. I think Penny managed to balance all the elements nicely.
I'm looking forward to reading more in the series once my library requests come in.

Leigh, we should start a thread about SCI & Forensics in Fiction, both in fiction and real life...."

I've also just published my first novel, a thriller about an illegal, underground market where participants wager on whether and when individuals will die. It's called The Death Market and available on Amazon.com now. http://www.amazon.com/Death-Market-Br...

Welcome Brett! Goodluck with your book.

!!!!!
Are you okay?"
Get better soon. Sorry about the pain. I am going to guess that you were joking about being locked in the back of a meat truck, or that your pain meds were just kicking in.
I am ok now I guess. In a lot of pain"

I look forward to some group reads and inspiration to sample many new-to-me authors, and of course, interacting with you members. It appears to be a good group!

Love Janet Evanovich, specially with her new partnership with Lee..."
Thanks for the hearty welcome, and I will see you in the other forums! Very nice to be here!

Yes scrapple is one of our "delicacies" here in the Philly area. Let's just say its an acquired taste. Not one that I've developed.

I am Anna’s confidential assistant. And, before you ask, I don’t know her last name. As far as I can determine, she hasn’t got one. She is a paranormal private detective with an amazing range of skills and abilities. A genius to be sure but a great deal more. With Anna's permission, I chronicle some of our more interesting cases. I'm also a voracious reader and love discussing books; particularly good ones. You can visit me at http://www.ianmacgregger.com/

Hi, Heather--I am new to the group and Goodreads, too.

Hi, Bret--
Good luck with your novel. I will look at it.
I did the same, a thriller, too, that KIRKUS calls “An ambitious thriller, successful in nearly every respect.” Unsettle the Score
Be well.

I inhale books! It's gotten so bad, that I don't fall asleep until after 4:00 in the morning! But who cares! I'm retired and this is my hobby! Always looking for good books to read.

I'm Steve, fan of all things Crime/Thriller/Action/Adventure/Conspiracy and fairly new to Goodreads as well (what did I ever do without it?). I look forward to participating in the community.
I've also got a conspiracy thriller being published in September with Momentum Books that I'll be sure to share with you all.
Thanks
Steve
