Welcome! It snowed in Denver in June when I lived there. Zombies should last longer, there.

Welcome! I live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and I really like both Kate Shugak and Joe Gunther books. I am sure you will find hundreds of new books to read here on GR.

I live in Duluth Minnesota and officially we have had snow every month of the year. Lake effect snow anyway! lol
Hello. I'm a fledgling mystery writer and longtime mystery reader. Some of my books are free for download so check out my profile.

For no particular reason, I decided that for me, May would be Mystery Month by which I mean that I decided to read the entire Grafton Alphabet Series during the course of the month. So far, I'm on T so I think I'll make it.
From here I intend to move on to Ross Macdonald and Elmore Leonard.

I'm Ivonne. I live in Vancouver WA. I really love a good Mystery. My favorite Mystery/thriller author is Karin Slaughter. :)

Hi, Ivonne. I live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I love mysteries too, among other genres. I added Karin Slaughter to my TBR list. Welcome to GR!

Jac - thanks for the invite, seems like a nice group, just trying to orient myself.
My name is Lee in case that want already obvious, I love to read horror, mystery, suspense, ya, zombie, apocalypse, dystopian, type books. I am in love with my Kindle and my kindle app on all my decices and havent read an actual book in probably 4 years. I have been converted!
So that is me in a nutshell.

Karin Slaughter is a favourite among mamy members in the club. So much so we have a special thread on her:

Well I guess i chose the right club. Thanks for the warm welcome Jenni, I too love a change.

We have so many members from New York. I live between London and Portsmouth (one foot in each) and it is one of my dreams to live in New York among all the high culture at least for ..."
Jac, if you go to New York City for 6 months, you'll have to come visit me- my bookstore's only maybe 3 hours south. I'd love to have you for a book signing.

Thanks Jac. I think books make great children. :)

Hi Jac, my first series of books are set between Portsmouth and London!

Happy to meet you all!"

OK, don't judge me but I'm from Essex.
I'm pretty much the polar opposite of the stereotype though.

I'm a writer, I published several stuff in Italian but I decided to publish in English too.
I've always had a particular eye for crime and mystery stories, probably because I grew up with the entire Agatha Christie collection on my library as well as George Simenon. My mother's fault, I must confess :)
I love reading (a lot) of course, I read all the genres but guess what? Crime is my favourite :)
My main character is British but lives in Italy...my opposite, let's say :) My first stories in English will be released within few weeks, so I'm looking for some brave beta readers :)
I'm very excited about this new English adventure!
I don't want to spam (admin, if needed take off the url) but if there's someone interested in my beta reading mission can have a look at my Chase Williams's website: www.chasetwilliams.com
Thank you and nice to meet you too.

Barb:
I am currently getting my MLIS (will graduate in May 2014). Any advice to a newbie?
Tania

I hop everyone had a nice, relaxing, weekend.

You are absolutely correct -- Masters of Library and Information Science.

I first got into the Hardy boys when I was younger and at one stage owned most of the books. Where they are now I have no idea but I might just start downloading them again.
I read all types of genres but Crime Fiction is close to my heart. I am an author and have started writing a crime fiction series and have plans to write a detective series down the track.
I live in Australia although I have only been back for six months. I was living and traveling around for six years, racked up about 60 countries during that time. Always had a good book or two to keep me company.
I hope to make some good friends on here and interested to see what books people enjoy. Thanks for your time, L.R.

Welcome! Groups are addictive, just like reading and collecting books. Your TBR LIST will grow very quickly. enjoy!

I look forward to lurking to see what everyone is reading.

L. R., welcome to MCT! : )

I just found out about this group from a Goodreads friend who also loves mysteries. I enjoy reading and writing them, especially ones set in the great outdoors, such as those written by William Kent Krueger, Dana Stabenow, CJ Box, Nevada Barr, and Craig Johnson. I live in the ski resort of Breckenridge, CO, and enjoy the outdoor activities Colorado offers, such as skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting. I'll lurk here for awhile to learn the rules and see what the group is all about, but I hope to add to my already long to-read list as a result of becoming a member.

Hope this is the right place!

I am sure you will get some great recommendations from other members of the group.

For the last two years, as well as working full time, I've also been attending college. This had impacted heavily on my reading time so as the course draws to its end I look forward to having that time back. Over these two years I've still bought books as regularly as I ever did so have a STACK to get through.
I look forward to joining in the discussions and hearing about some great reads as I go.

Congrats at being near the end of school! Welcome to the group. Be prepared for your stack of to be read books to increase at a rapid pace! Most of us find new "want to reads", faster than we can take books off our lists. Doing some of the challenges helps, especially if you find one that piques your interest. Enjoy. Also, making friends helps.

Jac, I checked out your website and have added your book to my TBR list. I really like the photo at the top of your page.

Hi Elizabette. Welcome to the group! I think you will find lots of great friends here to make smashing recommendations for new reads. I find that my 'to be read' list continues to grow at an alarming rate no matter how many books I read.
I tend to gravitate toward books with a literary bent such as P.D. James, Kate Atkinson, Agatha Christie, and Henning Mankell. I recently read Until Thy Wrath Be Past and liked it.

Good luck with your finals! And congratulations on nearing the end of school! Welcome to the group! We are pleased to have you with us. We look forward to sharing books with you.

Jac, I'm from South Wales and been studying engineering as part of my job. Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's been fun, in a way, but 42 is too old to be fretting about maths homework. Need to get some mystery back.

I want to be a psychologist. Currently I'm a makeup artiste and a photographer-in-training. I like to bake and do crafts(mostly making accessories from local fabrics)
