Introductions

I'm Anirudh, I live in Chennai, southern India. I'm a normal eighteen year old, a student of finance. It is not like I read only a particular genre but I prefer mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, political fiction, ... I'm an aspiring economist and an aspiring author. I review books in my blog, http://vata312.blogspot.in
My introduction is a little late, two weeks after I've joined this group.

Hi, Olivia. Great to meet you. I live in Springfield so almost neighbors.

Hello and welcome, neighbor. I live in Springfield. That's a really interesting challenge.

Hey Matthew...what a great challenge! I am doing a road trip USA challenge, but not restricted to either new authors or mysteries, but by setting within that state. I think I will give your idea a try soon. Welcome to our group & GR.

Hi, Nicola! Great to have you aboard! Welcome. : )

Hi, Julie. So glad you decided to join our group. We are thrilled to welcome you as a new member! If you have any questions, just ask, and we will try to help you. : ) I think you will fall in love with GR! :)

Good morning, Matthew. So great to welcome you to the group! : ) Your challenge sounds really interesting. I am doing something similar with an around the world challenge and an across Canada challenge. The interesting part is finding new authors. :) Hope you continue to love your challenge and mysteries!

I agree with you Andrea it's exciting finding new authors - what other people are reading & wanting to read meeting new friends - in the past we had to go into the bookshops for inspiration if there's one nearby of course.

Thanks!

Welcome to one Canadian from another! I live near Toronto, Ontario. You are going to love this site. Looking forward to sharing lots of book talk.

Hi, Jimmy! You re going to find tons of new books for your TBR list! WELCOME!

I am doing a road trip USA challenge. Your across Canada challenge sounds good. I am Canadian, so would be interested in it. How does your challenge work? I am using setting for the USA ROAD TRIP- each state must have a book with its story taking place in that state. Could you post me the criteria for the Canada challenge, please? I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Jenni,
Cann we add a topic for this in the Challenges section?

Okay, I added it.

I belong to this GR reading group, and we are reading our way across Canada. We would love to have you join us.

Thank you, Matthew. ; )

Joined about a week ago and then ... life got in the way!!! I live in central New York (state not city) and am an avid reader across many genres. Basically, if it can catch my interest and keep it, I like it. I try to read everything I start, even those that put me to sleep!!! Hope someone can help me, I don't know where to vote for the June group read. I found the list of books but where is the actual vote done? I'd like to read

Although Action-Adventure is my primary staple food for reading, Mystery/Crime Thriller is right below that. Christie & Doyle are always my all-time fevorite thriller writers, but Dean Koontz, Dennis Lehane, Nelson DeMille, Robert Crais, David Baldacci, Michael Connelly, Thomas Harris, Stephen Hunter, Martin Cruz Smith, Jeffrey Deaver, Jeffrey Archer etc. are some of my favorite contemporary thriller authors. I also LOVE Fantasy Adventure novels and Westerns (that only from the great Louis L'Amour), and basically anything which can be an intriguing read.
Hope to have fun playing with the thoughts & opinions of everything Mystery Thriller with you guys. :)

Welcome to the group Chris! I am the same exact way about finishing a book. There's only one book that I've started that I've not finished and that's only because my library loan automatically returned and I haven't gotten it back yet!
As for voting, you can find the nominations here:

Once you have made a decision on your two favorite selections, you just post a comment with your two choices on this thread here:

It's a pleasure to have you join us Rizwan! I really haven't delved too far into the thriller aspect of books, but I think that I would love them! I think I would like political type thrillers! Psychological thrillers are probably my favorite right now! Do you have any good legal thriller recommendations?
You will fit in quite nicely here at MCT!

Thank you for joining and introducing yourself Melissa! I'm sure you will find plenty of great things to be involved in here at MCT! There's a little bit of everything for everyone, and if there's not, then don't hesitate to add it, because it just might be that no one else has thought of it yet!

Although I do read legal thrillers of Grisham and Richard North Patterson (and some Scott Turow), this is the one type of thriller I'm no crazy about.
I can recommend Silent Witness by Richard North Patterson. You can try it if you want.

Thanks! Haven't been through Albury-Wodonga since the 1980s but remember it as being lovely. Perth is wonderful, our only problem is the mining boom has made is a very expensive place to live for thouse of us not involved in it! We are still the most isolated capital city in the world, which helps with keeping the place beautiful!
