Victoria Dougherty (goodreadscomvictoria_dougherty) | 44 comments Newbies - welcome! This semi-newbie has a humble request for you. My (very) short story (Stepping on the Throat of His Own Song) is being featured on Christoph Fischer's wonderful blog. It's a cold War thriller and I would just love some feedback. It's fun, it's free, and it's about a thousand words long. How many things can you say that about?
Oh, yeah, and I'll be forever in your debt.

Thanks guys - this means a lot.

I live in Cornwall UK & I was a staff nurse/ward sister for 25yrs, now retired due to ill health, so I have lots of hobbies to amuse myself. I don't think we get Pretty Little Liars here either. I do love crime series though & I watch plenty of them, one of my faves is Murdoch Mysteries, and of course the old standard Poirot!

message 1449: by Nicola (new)

Nicola | 5 comments G'day! (I had to say it!), I'm Nicola from Perth in Western Australia. I work in a University Library and also studying librarianship (already a library technician) and come from a family that devours books. We were one of the first people to sign up for our local library when it opened in 1970 (before then Mum used to take us in to the city to use their library). I love most genres, although relationship/romance are my least favourite. I like a lot of crime/thrillers and Michael Connelly - Harry Bosch is one of the best - I got to visit Angels Flight when visiting LA in Dec 2011!

Thank you for the invite to join the group, it looks like great fun and another way to increase the reading range.

message 1450: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 6291 comments Welcome Nicole--beautiful name BTW. I have a friend in Albury-Wodonga and have seen some amazing picture of Perth.
