It's a pleasure to have you!

Welcome to the group, Megan. We are thrilled to have you join us! You'll find plenty of mystery lovers and quite a few sci-fi fans in this group. Looking forward to getting to know you better. : )

I am a keen reader of crime fiction and author of a psychological crime novel Recognition. I live in Devon, England.
I like crime writers who create complex characters - eg Barbara Vine / Ruth Rendell, Val McDermid, John le Carre, James Ellroy. I also like reading crime fiction in translation.
Looking forward to hearing about new authors and discussing some favourites.

I will be reading Barbara Vine for the first time very soon, I'm just waiting to receive it in the mail!

Anyways, I am a huge mystery/crime fan, Agatha Christie being my all-time favourite. More recently I have begun reading Val McDermid, Ian Rankin and Jo Nesbo.

I'm sure you'll find that you have plenty of things to chat with other members about!

Hi, Kate Vane! Welcome to the group. I, too, love Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine. I look forward to getting to know you better and discussing books with you.

I'm relatively new to Goodreads and this is the first group that I
have joined on Goodreads. I read widely but am drawn to literary thrillers like Finding Nouf, The Night of the Hunter, Lord of the Flies, and anything written by Truman Capote and Ray Bradbury =)
Laura

I hope you find your way and enjoys the threads we have available! I'm sure you can find just about anything to talk about and if not, create your own thread about it!
See you in the threads!

I have been a member of goodreads for awhile, but just recently joined this group.
Mystery and Thrillers are my favorite books, but have gotten into ready YA Dystopian lately. Every free time I get I try to read.
I also am into crocheting. I will go spurts with thats all I do then I get tired and don't crochet for months. Lately I have been busy with riding our 4-wheeler (I have a husband who thinks he a teenager) so I haven't had time to read which sucks.
I currently work in the medical field. I love the human body and medicine. I would like to go back to school to be a Psychologist, but it probably won't happen for a few years.
I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading and discussion books.

Welcome to the group, Britney! We are so very happy to have you as a new member of our group. We look forward to reading and discussing interesting books with you. : )

James Patterson was always an easy pick, but my favourites are currently Ian Rankin, Alex Grey and Craig Russell. I am looking to expand my area of selection with new authors, while sticking to a familiar genre. This is my first time joining a Goodreads group and I am looking forward to the experience!

I'm going out later, my nephew is home from the navy, unfortunately he goes back to BC on Wednesday. My husband and I are meeting him for a few drinks.
