FYI: It is close to the end of the month and I am starting to make adjustments for Team Members who are "no shows" in one way or another. I haven't counted anyone out, unless they have notified me they wish to withdraw.

However...

You will start seeing totals like this:

We are waiting for our latest addition (6 books) to get on the board.

I have just encountered what I think is a pretty big error/glitch.

Team D now has 51 members in our "community". I can no longer see the last person (or the first person to sign up). I looked at Team C and they too only have 50 of their 52 commumity members showing.

Any thoughts on how to solve this? Luckily the person I'm missing is Vi and is one of the captains so we're friends and I can check her status through the friend list. I'm just afraid if more people are added to the Team.

Well, the hyperlinks to the names still work, but it is going to be a pain to figure out who isn't showing on the Home Page.

I've decided that the mods and or Team Captains are going to have to do a manual tally, when we get close to our goal. Guess, I'm going to have to do a list for each team that shows the chronological sign-up so we are sure get everyone.

Okay, I'm going to break these issues down by teams instead of going back to Post #105. It may take me some time; I've only done Team A & Team B so far:

Team A
Rebecca K. (200) was active for one comment on GRs on 2/7. She hasn't read any books
   besides Lord of the Flies since Jan. 3rd, and that one is NOT tagged for the challenge.
   I just sent her another quick PM.
Cait (050) only made the one comment requesting to join the challenge and then never
   made another. She had NOT signed up. I sent a PM to her just now (second one).

Team B
China (100) still has NO books read. While I don't see any books read so far this year, and NO activity on GRs since the end of January, when is the last time anyone contacted her?

Denise (050) has NOT signed up yet on the Home Page. I think it has been enough time; you can contact her, if you haven't already. I see a bookshelf entitled challenge with four books read for 2013 - she just needs to sign-in.

It looks like Jen (120) has six books read since the challenge began. She has NO books "tagged." Has anyone contacted her?

Melissa (060) is active on GRs, but has NOT marked any books read. However, I know she has been in another team challenge. Was I the last to contact her?

Maybe using Batch Editing might help any of these people "tag" their books.

Kelly (075) has added another book, but still none are visible under her view books, and the numbers don't match. Very weird. I know she is using the GRs apps; I've left her info about how to copy & paste (YouTube video), but NO response.

If you are keeping a separate spreadsheet, please note Rebecca's hyperlink has changed.

Sanz (050) has posted a book, so I took the ??? from after her name.

Tory P. (060) is active again on GRs, and marked a book as "read," but it does NOT have enough page numbers to count. I've seen NO activity by her in NBRC.

Zara or Stefani, have either of you contacted Jen Bomesberger? There are no books showing under her "view books." However, she has six books she has in 2013 that could count toward this challenge.

China finally has two books tagged, but they are NOT showing. I'm betting she did so from a mobile device. Has anyone PM'd her?

Team Captains - In doing spot checks for page numbers, I've noticed there are several people who are not tagging their books for this challenge. As Team C has gone over 1,500 books, I would start giving some of your teammates a nudge.

Team D Update -

I have gone through all the books checking to ensure they were tagged correctly and I verified page numbers. Numerous PMs were sent to Team D members - some have addressed immediately and I'm sure the others will address concerns next time they are online.

Our standing at this time is 1434 books.

Drew (Andrew) and Barbara have not responded to messages nor have they read any books that would qualify.

I do need clarification - do cookbooks and DIY manuals count if they are read cover to cover?

No problem Lisa Kay. I've been on top of it most of the challenge. I just really went through book by book this weekend like I did in January. The hardest part is keeping up with everyone as they are posting!

Q. How can I check if my team is tagging and/or adding books like they should be?

A. I do a quick check, though there is really nothing quick about it. You probably should have two windows open to do this.

• I open one window with their challenge/view books.

• In the other window, I go into their bookshelves.

• Click on "shelf setting" and checkmark "num pages".

• Click on "read" and sort by read date.

• Compare it to what they have posted for the challenge.

• Also, I usually look at their assigned bookshelf. If I can't easily figure this out, I select a book that I know they have "tagged" for the challenge, then go in under "view" from their bookshelves. Then looking at their review/rating, I scan the "tags" and try and figure out the name of the bookshelf.

This is so time-consuming, I am now targeting just those people who are way below their percent.

I'm doing a hit or miss job of it. 240 people are a lot of people.

Also, it seems whenever I start checking, I run into an issue. Someone has changed their goal, changed their Profile to Private, changed the name of their bookshelf, or totally deleted their challenge only to repost it. Someone even left the group without saying a word. Those last two took me forever to figure out.

I also, if a book doesn't have a page count, I look that up and add it, in case that is the reason they haven't posted it.
