It's almost 2013 and so it's time for a new yearly challenge!
In this challenge, you’re required to read 52 books (one book for each week of the year). Of course, reading more than 52 books is also allowed.
The challenge is:
Read books that spell out: MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BOOK IN THE BDB SERIES JUST HAS GOT TO BE [+ book abbreviation*]...
That sentence plus the book abbreviation would make it a total of 52-54 characters. But of course, you're allowed to write full titles and/or use multiple titles.
For each letter you need to find:
- a book with a title that starts with this letter (disregarding all the articles: a, an, the... )
- or a book by an author whose first or last name starts with this letter
- or a book with a character whose first or last name starts with this letter

The Challenge?
Play bingo with a kick for this six month challenge. You can complete this challenge in conjunction with others and use the handy grid box to plot your progress. Once you have a full row across or down completed come back to the thread and call yell, "BINGO".
Levels:
Ante Up: Complete all the blocks across in row #1.
Beginners Luck: Complete all the blocks across in row #2.
All-In: Complete all the blocks across in row #3.
Double Down: Complete all the blocks across in row #4.
Bankroll: Complete all the blocks going straight down in a row of your choice.
All or Nothing: Complete all the diagonal blocks (either from the left to right corner or vice versa).

The Rules:
Please note that you cannot use the same book in more than one block in this challenge. One book per block.

5. Got to your ‘to-read’ shelf and sort by ‘date added’, oldest to newest. Select one book from the first fifty that you added. (at the bottom of the page, you can reset the display to show 50 books rather than 30 to make this easier)
6. Now reverse the sort to newest to oldest, and select a book from the most recent fifty that you’ve added to your shelf.
7. Sort your to-read shelf by ‘avg rating’ and select a book from the fifty highest rated books.
8. Sort by ‘num pages’ and select one of the fifty longest books on your to-read shelf.

Rules are simple. Using the word GAEAF or the bolded words of your select holidays, pick a book title or author (first or last name) that begins with the letters in the chosen season/holiday. Disregard a, an, the, etc. Books must be started and finished within the season duration.
Choose your own difficulty!
Level 1 - read the season
Level 2 - read the season and 1 holiday
Level 3 - read the season and 3 holidays
Extreme! - read both the season and all holidays

Let’s explore our Goodreads ‘to-read’ bookshelf and see if we can clear a few books off of it!! If you have a specific shelf you’d like to use instead of your entire ‘to-read’ shelf, go right ahead.
9. Sort by ‘title’ and select a book in which the first word of the title begins with either A, B, C or X, Y, Z.
