Hi there, alas! I am no longer a ya, but I have written a book for them! I am the mother of 5 teenagers aged 13 - 20, and I would LOVE some more young minds to review my novel. It is called 'Emospherica' (The Destiny of Jasmine Blade Pt.1) and is available on Amazon Kindle for $2.99 US. If I get enough interest, I may set up a free download week :) I do hope you don"t mind me posting in your group - The heroine, Jasmine, can definitely kick butt, but as I'm a sucker for a hero as well, there's one of those as well!

Glad to discover this group! I'm Deborah, and I work in a MS library, so I have access to many terrific YA novels. Favorite authors for YA Heroines--Anne McCaffrey, Scott Westerfield's Uglies series, Melanie Rawn, Mercedes Lackey... I LOVE the Tricker's Queen books and a several other books by Tamora Pierce (my local youth public librarian says more women than girls like Tamora Pierce--odd fact). Looking forward to finding new authors!

I like chick lit, romance, and (urban) fantasy. I absolutely love the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Rose has to be my favorite heroine... or at least in the top five. Any books by Tamora Pierce have a strong heroine in them too. However, they might be to "childish". I don't know. I do know that they are great books... all of them :)

I'm Abigail and my favorite books are Graceling and Heist Society. I like my heroines to have spunk and a nice sense of humor. My favorite heroine is probably Katsa from Graceling or Yelena from Poison Study(although not very much in the second book)My favorite genres are: Action&Adventure, Dystopia(is that a genre?) and a romance(only with a nice dose of humor on the side) It'll be nice to get to know you guys!
