Jamie Collins (jamie_goodreads) | 10 comments Elizabeth Longford and Christopher Hibbert have written good biographies of Queen Victoria.

I also liked:
An Uncommon Woman: Empress Frederick, Daughter of Queen Victoria, Wife of the Crown Prince of Prussia, by Hannah Pakula

Victoria's Daughters, by Jerrold M. Packard

Queen Victoria's Gene - the book that contemplates the possibility that Victoria was illegitimate. It's highly unlikely, but so is a spontaneous mutation to create the genetic defect for hemophilia.

Movies:
Victoria & Albert - 2001 two-part miniseries starring Victoria Hamilton.

Mrs. Brown - explores Victoria's friendship with her servant, John Brown, after Albert's death.

Edward the King (or Edward the Seventh), a 1975 miniseries, 13 episodes. Unfortunately Netflix doesn't seem to have it.

Sara W (sarawesq) | 2153 comments Thanks for the book and movie recommendations! I know very little about Victoria at this point besides the fact that she was the grandmother of a lot of royalty across Europe.

Jean Plaidy wrote:

The Captive of Kensington Palace
The Queen and Lord M
The Queen's Husband
The Widow of Windsor (these 4 are one series)

Victoria Victorious

I own them, but I haven't read them yet.
