ooo i hope you enjoy Jazz Cafe (actually, yuo have probably already finished it and reviewed it by now!)
im near positive ages ago a friend said you can now email things to your kindle app. i cant remember how though. grrr.
ah yes, there ya go!!email addresses for anything is down a few things in personal document settings.
the email addresses for apps should be there too.
i won't even count how many i have

Glad someone else is a thick as me.
Kath wrote: "i dont think you have one if you dont have a kindle"All my kindle apps as well as my paperwhite have their own email address. It doesn't matter which one you email the books to, it'll be archived on all of them.
If you just "open attachment in kindle app" on your pc/tablet, they will be stuck on that device and won't transfer to any other.
I believe you have to also set the email address you'll be sending from, since amazon will only accept docs from accounts you've "authorised".
oh grief. behave children. ;-) Peanut, its much better to have lots of helpful advice than none, right???
Ignite wrote: "And Tim, if you never post again, I'll haunt your dreams!"Somehow you are way more scary than Patti. Why are you not a mod?
If you notice it was the not only tim who done it, twice previously by two different people. i wasn't aiming that at tim directly.
Hi all,Everyone who has asked for the free books should now have received them by email.
If you haven't please PM me. Make sure you tell me your email address.
I'd just like to say I've read the first of mine - I had already read five. I've just finished The 24 Hour Jazz Cafe by Jamie Sinclair.Review here http://ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk/201...
It's a great story and covers some universal themes. Jamie has a great line in sleazy Councillors!
Yay thanks guys, the 'open with' option on my Mac seems to have worked. On that drop down menu I notice Calibre is set as the default app so that;'s why it always opened there. Not sure how to make Kindle the default, but it doesn't matter since I can just drop down & click on kindle app. Thanks again all.

Would be far easier to go into the Kindle app and add them there (via the menu and picking the folder out) then just opening the app in future
Louise-Lesley (Elle) wrote: "Would be far easier to go into the Kindle app and add them there (via the menu and picking the folder out) then just opening the app in future"I can't seem to do that though. Maybe something to do with it being an app for a Mac?

You can't. From amazon's Kindle for Mac page: "Most books available for reading on Amazon Kindle can also be read on Kindle for Mac. Periodicals such as newspapers, magazines, and blogs, and personal documents cannot be viewed on Kindle for Mac."

I've drafted one, but it won't save to kindle app...

They don't seem to be able to get it into their thick heads that they need to provide a consistent experience across devices and platforms. The Mac app supports Collections but not documents or X-Ray; The iPad app supports documents and X-Ray but not Collections, Mac has a cloud-only view, the others don't, and so on All it does is confuse and frustrate.
I spent ages trying to find the book I was reading in Faro on my phone app so I could sneak a few paragraphs and never did find it in my archive.
Louise-Lesley (Elle) wrote: "That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Wtf, actually?!"What???
I've said MUCH stupider things, Peanut.
;)
Yes. From your email from Simon, you can download into your computer then email them as attachments to your kindle email.
I just forward books directly from my email to my kindle email address.Just remove what ever is in the subject line of the email and put in the word convert.
I don't even do that. I always get asked if I'm sure I want to send an email with no subject and no body text. I am.
M.T. wrote: "Should I have got my books by now then?"If you sent Simon a private message and included your email address within the required timeframe, yep.
Send him another pm. Your last one will appear as well. :)
Have just done exactly that! My e-mail lost it a bit over Christmas so I suspect he tried and they bounced.Cheers

Oh hang on, which one was the 9th Doctor. Matt Smith is the 11th! Christopher Ecclestone is the one she was talking about. He's a bit older. I prefer David Tennant though.
