Thanks Teri! I would rather not think of them at all, but non-fiction will do. :-D

I'm so excited to see so many people interested in this challenge! It will be so much fun to see what others are reading, and to see if we can make it to our goal of 2013 different books in 2013!
Next year at this time we'll have the results!

50 people have made shelves in the RKB Readers page, and that's not even including those who will post their books here or on Facebook! Exciting :-)
i have a personal challenge to do in 2013, i need to read all the books, that i've gotten and haven't open. and that close to 70. it maybe a small#
Yes Maralee! That book will count. I'm always in the middle of a book when the New Year comes around! Jackie, it doesn't matter how many or how few books you read...every one counts! Heather, I know! It's amazing, isn't it? And Shane's already read 2 books this year!! I'm almost done with my first one!
Teri, I'm a lost ball in high weeds, I can't figure out how to put a book I finished, onto my shelf in the other group. Would you do it for me? Finished New York to Dallas by J. D. Robb. 4 stars. Thank you!
No problem Patrica! I'm going to start posting every Sunday night on RKB and here to gather up all the the books people have read but not posted. Since I have 2 browsers it's a simple thing for me to do.
How do you post a book you've finished reading? I just marked it as read. That doesn't do the trick?
i Just read this one and finished this morn. I wanna add this one to the challenge. And another one for this challenge. So I have 2 to add.Killer Cupcakes (A Lexy Baker Bakery Cozy Mystery) by Leighann Dobbs
Hounded: The Iron Druid Chronicles, Book One by Kevin Hearne

Thanks Holly. I added them. Next time, could you let me know how many stars you gave to each book?
Teri Pre wrote: "Thanks Holly. I added them. Next time, could you let me know how many stars you gave to each book?"ok will do
I added my shelf the other day and for some reason it was a paint o figure out! But I added the 2 new books I've read just now there and I'm happy to say it was much easier to do after my shelf was there.
I'm going to start posting in RKB every Sunday to ask what books have been read that week that haven't been put on the list yet. Then I can do them for everyone who doesn't want to be bothered.
Glad you got your shelf up and running Melinda!

This is such a great idea for a challenge! I had added my shelf before the new year, but my reading for 2013 has been going slowly. I had been busy reading the Harry Potter series last year, and finished it around Christmas. It was one of those magical reading experiences that will never be able to be replicated! Finishing a series that is so ultra super fantastic makes it difficult to move on. :) I've started The Hobbit, and I feel like I'm reading so slowly! It's probably another wonderful book. I just wish I could get back some of my Harry Potter enthusiasm. I'm so thankful for my kindle and RKB which have allowed me to fit more reading into my busy life again in the last couple years. I'm just hoping I can get moving again and get some books added to my shelf for 2013!! Happy new year and happy reading to all of you!
Teri Pre, will you add these 2 so far for me?January 2 Blue Christmas by Diane Moody (2 stars)
January 5 A Lancaster County Christmas by Suzanne Woods Fisher (5 stars)
Thank you! I will attempt to add my own as we go on, but I have three lovely but distracting children around me right now and I don't want to mess up the RKB 2013 shelves :)
Angela
Ok Angela...got it! If you decided to add a shelf in the future, you can move the books from the "everyone else" shelf to your own.
****READ 2013 IN 2013 Update***
So far we've read 137 different books and 39,000 pages! That means we're 5% ahead of our goal for the year!
A few things have come up in this first week that I thought I'd bring to your attention.
It's starting to get a bit messy with people adding their "currently reading" books to the list...especially since some others might have already finished it. Could I ask that you PLEASE not add TBRs or "Currently Reading" books to the list? Only add books after you've finished them.
If you can't/don't want to post on the RKB page, you can post your books here and I'll add them.
**If you send me a message or post here about your book, please give me the book's name, the author's name and how many stars you gave the book**
We're off to a great start!

Teri, would you please add the book I finished last week?Title:
Speaking Activities That Don't Suck
Author:
English Teacher X
Stars:
Five
Thanks so much for your help within this group and in "real life"!
Hi, Teri...I finished another book, a graphic novel:Title: The Snowman
Author: Milo Manara
Four Stars
He's an Italian comic book writer and artist. Most of his comics tend toward the erotic side, but he has some artwork (very much akin to Alex Toth or Frank Thorne) and his characters have a lot of personality.
I finally finished The Hobbit. I added it to my RKB shelf. I think I did everything correctly. I gave it 3 stars. I'm looking forward to moving on to my next book, Safe Haven, which is also for my book club.
Teri, Two additions1) Through The Mist, Marsha Canfeild, four stars
2) Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Control, Dr Richard Bernstein, five stars.
Thanks
Susan B: Congratulations! You made it through!
Susan, I got them...even though the title and author for the first book were completely wrong! :)
