1) Sense and Sensibility (err...mostly from library)
reading dates : xx January - xx January 2013
I have actually never read Jane Austen's works, but have wanted to do so for quite some time.......I am hoping that I won't be bogged down as the central theme, as I am told, is about 'passions stirring inside the heart', and I have never cared enough for them, as of now.....
That said, I also know that Jane Austen's works are different and am indeed curious enough to read them along with you.........fingers crossed if I am able to stay put till November!!

Glad to see you too, Marren :)
A side note for everybody:
That thing with the copy of the book -- you do not have to literally write down it is your own book or borrowed from the library. I wrote that down, because it seemed practical, in case somebody else would read the same edition of the book, because there are so many different editions with different introductions and even translations if you are reading them in any other language than English. So if you do not care for such thing, of course you do not have to note down what edition you read :)

Nice, didn't know for that book! And lucky you for having I Have Found It in library -- I really admire Aishwarya Rai and wish to see how Indian take on Austen would look like, but it seems I can't find it anywhere. Yet ;)

I really recommend if you see Pride & Prejudice to watch the longer version starring Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. The newer version, with Keira Knightley is wonderful, really, but the older one stays true to the novel and is just beautifully done!

Damn, I'm late to the party...
Since Pride & Prejudice is the only Austen I've read already, I'll skip it for now and will start with Sense & Sensibility next month. I'll try to squeeze in P&P later on.

Update: I am enjoying All Roads Lead to Austen much better now. It was just slow getting into. It's about a literature professor who goes on a yearlong sabbetical to Latin America to find out how or if Jane Austen relates to the Latin American culture.

Feb. 12 to Feb. 21
Will watch the movie hopefully soon (waiting to get it from the library).
2. Pride & Prejudice
Reading now.
Love the Keira Knightley movie. I will definitely re-watch it & look for the BBC one with Colin Firth too.

Love your lists Kimberly! May I follow your example and add my top lists in my post here? The others I am sure would like that too :) It might change over time though, but seems great way to make comparisons between novels!

Basically, if you wish to join this project, you do not have to make any other posts beside this one. Don't worry if you are not certain if you would be able to keep up with the project -- I am not sure myself! This is not competition, the reward is the completion of the challenge itself. The question how long it would take us to complete it, is totally irrelevant!
